What a great device to take to the beach! Didja hear about the woman who was using a paddle board who got blown out to sea in New England, and she was saved by calling 911 using her Apple Watch? Think about it - she could have enjoyed the day (and night) drifting out at sea with that 10k battery rather than having to call for help immediately!

I want to like this so much, being that it’s both inflatable and electronic, but it’s so impractical in multiple ways that for the price I have to pass. As has been mentioned already, the speakers face away from the user, so unless you want to broadcast your tunes to the rest of the pool deck, you’re not going to hear much. I’d also be concerned about my phone overheating inside the sealed pouch when left in direct sunlight, as one reviewer mentioned. Though on the plus side it looks comfy, comes with a nice carrying bag and pump, and due to its size, $5 shipping is a good deal. I just can’t justify it on my current shoestring budget.
@robson Heck a 4-star review sounds pretty dubious: “Love this floatie but we lost the top on the battery and control and so far the seller hasn’t responded to my inquiry for replacement. Also, burned my phone screen up in the waterproof pouch! Gets super hot!”
Not exactly a ringing endorsement there.
5 star reviews sound a bit bogus. “Nest pool float on earth.” “would recommend this to all the viewers” “Blue tooth works great with my iPod touch.”
Ok, so maybe English isn’t their first language. I have to wonder how many people still used an iPod Touch in 2018, and who’d be impressed that it could pair with a set of Bluetooth speakers?
It is sad there are so many neat ideas, but no one seems to be able to make one that actually works! This musical floaty things seems to be another one.
@CosmicTwister@medz Speaking as an inflatable wolf…yes, the included patch kits are almost universally garbage. They aren’t waterproof at all, and sometimes don’t even stick while dry!
(I can give proper inflatable repair advice if solicited.)

How thick is the wall of the float? How many mils??
@Trinityscrew Don’t know the mils but it’s pretty thick. It’s not like one of the cheap see-thru floats. Seems overbuilt if you ask me.
