OK got a few miles on this and … wow what a value. I am pleasantly surprised on this purchase. I needed one to get around my town and the range is fantastic. I am a bigger person at 225 pounds and I cruise with assist on at about 18mph with ease. I did buy a handle bar mirror so I can see behind me and the racks mentioned above. They did not come with mounting hardware so need to purchase a few bolts.
@mike808 Honestly, having used a bike for fetching groceries, I can say that if you need more than will fit in a backpack, then a bike may not be the answer for transport. At least, given the condition of the streets and sidewalks around here, it’s questionable. Stuff in the basket gets pummeled mercilessly in just a few blocks on the route from the nearest supermarket. Your conditions may differ. Adding a useful-sized basket to one of these also defeats the whole “folding” thing.
For any checking out the accessories noted by @snapster, the SOLD OUT front basket is for different models than the one for sale here, the GoCity.
The Large Basket (for the GoCity) is $80.
The Front Rack (for the GoCity) is $60 (on sale, regularly $100).
It doesn’t say if the Large Basket requires the Front Rack to mount it, but from the design, it appears to be the case with the four mounting points on the Rack used to support the Basket.
So $140 for the kit. Plus the $630 for the GoCity bike, $770 is still a good price cut from the $1240 it would otherwise cost at MSRP.
@mike808@snapster And as I noted, adding that front basket is going to pretty well defeat the point of the folding capability. Even the front rack alone will make the collapsed unit a lot bulkier and more ungainly. I’ll stick to using the cargo trailer with the big foam pad and the tie-downs if I ever get back to making large grocery runs via pedal power. The electric feature is enticing, though.

They feature a formal Fred mode? [uproarious laughter]
How practical are these with a few bags of groceries?
No basket or storage seems like a dealbreaker.

@snapster Thinking about it. Nice offer.

How much weight can it carry?
@Amazing86 The specs say 265 lbs. Given the tire size, that’s probably a pretty hard limit if you want to avoid having pinch flats.
@Amazing86 @werehatrack
Crap. I’m out with my lard ass. Oh well.
