I went for this one at the higher price than the Sri Racha on Meh because I have been truly underwhelmed by everything snacky that billed itself as “spicy” lately. That goes double for the Love Corn flavors. Their “habanero chilli” was just awful.
Edible, more or less, but not great. The initial taste is … green. Not nasty-inedible-kale-ick-yuck-barf green, but not attractive either. That dissipated fairly quickly, leaving just a salted-not-much-here flavor as chewing progressed. For crunchiness, they are less brittle than typical corn chips (which have a near ideal crunch for me) and about the same level of bite effort, for an overall two-and-a-half-of-ten score on a scale where almost nothing gets above an 8. Not absolutely terrible, and I’ll probably eat a bunch next week, but I sure as hell won’t be buying more if they come up.
I might mix them with pecans or corn chips, where they’ll essentially vanish behind those flavors.
@jcookmeyer66@Kyeh The worst part is that it can be misleading in either direction; it’s just one data point in the quest to predict a product’s real shelf life, and not even the most reliable one. (Although I know of one product for which the best-by date really is a hard use-by date as well. But only one. Some expire well before, and some seem pointless to assume that they will ever truly expire.)

Ugh, why does the VMP discount not apply to anything anymore?
@ongware just not daily deals.
@Ignorant BUT I want edamame for $16.2.
@ongware don’t we all. Best I can do is $12 but it’s Sriracha flavored.

And now the review:

@werehatrack I got mine yesterday and thought the Sriracha flavor was better
Were Edamame snack on sale because they go out of date in 30 days.I can’t eat all of them that quick.
@jcookmeyer66 That’s why they were cheap, but the “food expiration” thing is totally misleading:
