And there we have a brilliant illustration of why an AI-scripted remake of Grail would truly suck. (And they’d get the Knights Who Formerly Said Ni! wrong, as well.)
@heartny@werehatrack That’s how Kensington was spelled in Old and Middle English.
Well, actually, Kennew is the region name, but the capital Kensington (“ton” = “town”) is the only remnant of that land’s original name still surviving.
@duodec Well, they have to have a bite of something before they can swallow it. They’re not breatharians.
It’s just that you normally only see them eating tiny bugs and stuff.

@mediocrebot That’s pretty close, at least half my life ago. But I never would’ve kept books lying open while I was on the computer.
Also, that laptop is way to thin for that stage of my life. I had a hand-me-down laptop (with a non-functional battery) for a while, but it was much thicker and smaller of screen than that shown.
Nowadays I don’t look or feel that young, and I can’t seem to do anything with books. (though I still have great love/reverence/nostalgia for them, and have trouble not collecting more)
@duodec@mediocrebot That’s not an Apple II and I’m not sure what the disk array on the right or CD like device above the monitor is, but I guess it got the general idea. At least the fingers look ok.
@kuoh agreed, but its a CRT and things look reasonably vintage; I actually had a mouse on my ][plus too, though it looked more like the early Mac mouse than that one. The AI got the spirit of the thing.
@duodec@mediocrebot@pmarin The Millennium Falcon was only supposed to be a concept ship, it was never actually supposed to go into production. But then some bright idiot decided it would be fun to sell something like that, and they built some. And it turned out that there were a few crews who could actually keep one going. There’s a reason why you don’t see very many of them, though. Actually, more than one reason.
