@heartny want even more embarrassing? I just replaced mine…the last one had the cord hardwired into the handset and there was a break in the wire. Could have soldered it, but was easier to buy a new one!
@Kidsandliz I haven’t lost my landline service during any storm, including Super Storm Sandy, which is the main reason I keep it. Cellular service is another story.
This is mild, but meta-embarrassment in keeping with the inception thing going on tonight…
The Trikke is probably one of the dorkiest human propelled vehicles on the planet (maybe even more than some recumbent bikes) but it is a ton of fun.
I became obsessed with them and amassed a hoard of them, enough to outfit a small club of riders. But none of my friends will ride with me. My wife did once until she became unbalanced and went down hard so I don’t blame her.

@aetris Did you take lessons from several years ago when there were the ?? possum?? chronicles? And then try that with those skeletons to get rid of the evidence of what you have used all those meh knives for?

@cinoclav I’m not embarrassed about the hearing aids as much as my inability to hear and understand people, especially in group situations. But, thank you.

@cinoclav I kicked out Cablevision, so DSL was my only option for internet. I would not have used their phone service, so the landline stayed as is.
@heartny The big plus of a landline is that they always work, even in a power outage, storm… and they need no battery.
