You forgot that i drove almost everyone out of the blame thread (unintentionally) by posting (mostly 20th century) poetry in the thread. And the poetry was damned good stuff too.

And I posted most of my blame acceptances and apologies in haikus or limericks after a suggestion by @OldCatLady seconded by @Kidsandliz or perhaps I have it backwards concerning who suggested and who seconded.

And @jbartus wanted me to do a sonnet, but sonnets are hard to write during a red light or an elevator ride, so he never got the worst sonnet that might ever have been written. It’s still not written. Yet. Perhaps someday.

@Thumperchick I think it is simple enough how you are doing it. You mention the month, then who is the victim goat, then a link to why they were drafted. What messes it up is the chatter in the thread. Perhaps lock it so only you or other flask folks can update it?

Thanks, I think it is hard not to get the flu when someone in the house does not take the necessary precautions when sick. I stay totally by myself when I am contagious.

Actually, I just reread the comment about old prizes.

It clearly uses the term “prizes”.

When used as a noun, prizes means the following:

A thing given as a reward to the winner of a competition or race or in recognition of another outstanding achievement.

The goat trophy is viewed not so much as because of an outstanding achievement, but people you put up with a month of blame.

As such, goat trophies are not prizes.

On the other hand, the first definition of achievement is:

A thing done successfully, typically by effort, courage, or skill.

In this sense, getting through a month of blame physically intact can be considered considered a successful thing, especially since it requires effort/courage/skill.
