I’m not sure if you’ve read about the catastrophic flooding in my hometown of Sanford, but it’s even worse than the news has reported. We’re quite literally a one blinking light small town that’s been completely wiped out.
The one thing I’ve taken from this tragedy is how I’ll approach anyone ever going though a catastrophic event. I’ll never ask if there’s anything I can do - I’ll just do it. Whether it be a gas card, gift certificate, a bag of groceries, wash their laundry or their car, or all of the above. Those are the things that we need, that nobody will ever ask for.
We are Sanford Strong, and we’ll recover from this, but I just wanted to share my little bit on insight with my other community.
