Headed from Carlsbad cavern to Roswell New Mexico today. Should be an interesting time during the alien conference! Not sure what they’ll have for fireworks/drone show etc. but either way, it should be entertaining!
@chienfou I remember being on the Carlsbad Caverns tour and they said that if they turned off the lights you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. then the lights go out and when they turn them back on everyone will be standing there with their hand in front of their face.
but that was like 1990 so today everybody would probably just be illuminated by phones anyway.

We did the self-guided tour and there was no “lights out”. To me the highlight is still watching the thousands of bats rise out of the cave at dusk. Truly an awesome sight!
