@Steve7654
wants us to offer more speakers?
speaker docks, speakers, headphones, speakers in light bulbs, speakers, earbuds, speakers in rocks, earbuds, more speakers, headphones again, floating speakers, waterproof speakers, more speakers, headphones, more earbuds…
I mean … @dave is a name you know if you shop on Meh too, and all that’s gotten me is the opportunity to purchase these probably sub-par earbuds in a case the size of a Subaru
@nolrak I like to think you’d never heard the name Dave before coming here.
@dave @nolrak Wha- what… what is a… d- d-- dave…?
@dave @nolrak @shahnm Dave? Dave’s not here.
@dave @nolrak @shahnm
@pmarin Gotta be a certain age to get that reference. I had the wonderful opportunity to sit through their bit for 2 shows back to back in a bar in Denver in the mid-seventies… what a riot!
@medz Ahh, now that makes sense
Aaahhhhhhhh!!!
@shahnm answers, ‘whatever happened to Eddie Munster?’
Wow that lady model really cinched it for me. They look like crap being worn. Never mind it looks like she has some sort of earring plug thingy in/on her ear too.
Oh, and the charge case, silly me thought it would actually inductively charge them or mate to some points. But no, it has cables in it. yea… thats a big MEH.
@outdoorslife It took me a long time to figure out what was wrong in that picture. Something was just way off.
Eventually, I realized that it looks like she actually exercised. Women in American media aren’t allowed to be affected by what they do. Instead of perfect hair, she has hair stuck to her face with sweat.
Oh wait, the problem is in American media and my own head. Never mind …
@shahnm Shit, I think the original might actually be even creepier…
That last pictures will give me nightmares for a long time
The model in the eighth pic looks like she is definitely sniffing her left underarm .
@bigtom67 looking for a good sweat test, maybe?
@bigtom67 I’m glad it isn’t just me that thought that.
My wife got me these for Xmas. She likely paid wayyyy too much for them. They work fine. Connections stable, sound good (better than my cheap one’s), & good battery life.
I am not getting these because the other Rowkin earbuds were so dreadful, but the writeup today is stellar, and the advertising image is ridiculous. I am entertained.
I surged and got the not-Meh ones a while back. These are too expensive to be gifts. Yeah, I know, too Mehfish and cheap.
…
@nolrak Yes, imprisoning a sturdy midget within your ample gut is definitely NOT considered cool anymore… Jeez, do you think this is the '80s or something?!?
@nolrak @shahnm
@nolrak …TWSS…
speaker docks, speakers, headphones, speakers in light bulbs, speakers, earbuds, speakers in rocks, earbuds, more speakers, headphones again, floating speakers, waterproof speakers, more speakers, headphones, more earbuds… <sigh>
@Steve7654 But that’s Meh. You might try shopping somewhere else
In for a pair, because I haven’t had a mind-numbingly awful consumber electronics purchase since my last pair of rowkin wireless earbuds. I’m sure the connection is just as bad as my last pair. need them to have hooks for the bike, as every earpod I have fit perfectly until they suddenly don’t.
Ok rowkin, you get ONE more shot before I swear off of you until the next pair of shitty headphones comes along.
What is the probability that I won’t be able to get a TRUE STEREO connection with these when my phone is in my hip pocket?
With previous Rowkin products: 100%.

I love my Rowling earbuds. They’re awesome!
VAN GOGH! MANGO! TANGO! AWESOME!
@nickm461 but every time you try to change the volume you cast a spell and your ear disappears
Oh wow
Oh, wow! Finally! Earbuds that can be used through all of the ear-sweat that we all experience, especially when we are ear-exercising.
@cbl_wv if I run 2-3 miles, I pour sweat. No ear exercises required. I’m not unique in this sense either… if you don’t sweat while working out, consider that a blessing! For the rest of us… waterproof is a must.
User manual (for the cheap option): https://www.rowkin.com/s/Surge_User_Manual.pdf
They are so ugly, even worse than powerbeats.
@robson at least they aren’t airpods
Is the warranty really only 30 days?
@ARGuck Sure! How long do you think Rowkin will be in business anyways?
@ARGuck says 90 in the specs.
@RiotDemon pokemon friends, aw shucks (x6)
Specs and manual lack anything about aptX support.
How much latency do these introduce?
Boy, I had a long time deciding not to purchase. Deal breaker was the number of people who took the time to write how unhappy they were with connections. And, no expectation given for useful life of more than a couple months.
@AmazingChicken It doesn’t cost me anything, so I always assume that if I bought them, the ear buds would still be functional for six months to a year after I lost them. So I assume they will be theoretically operational for somewhere between 27 and 55 weeks.
The thing that will definitely kill them is the fact that they will be left turned on when I lose them. Thus, the battery will be totally drained after 5 hours. Lithium batteries won’t hold a useful charge after six to twelve months of being totally drained. I am sure to lose them in the first 3 weeks.
I need ear buds that include Bluetooth locator beacons that operate for a week or more after the audio stops. Furthermore, I need an app on my phone which will notify me when I get more than thirty feet away from either beacon, if they aren’t in their designated storage location.
This means there won’t be suitable ear buds until about 2025. By then lithium battery technology and low energy beacon modes should have advanced to the point where it is in my price range.
I bought the Bit Charge Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds from meh back in November and I regret it. The bluetooth sometimes needs a clear line of sight to not cut in and out between the two channels. I had read at the time this was an issue, but I also read that there was an Android app that offered a lot of customization and could push an update that addressed this issue. UNFORTUNATELY the app doesn’t support the ones meh sold but the more expensive version. I’ve been dealing with/living with it but I just replaced them with yet another set and I’m not looking back.
Hey look, someone is patching me up! I won’t bite, I promise.
Just bought those other true Bluetooth earbuds for 20 bucks, had I known these were in the horizon I would have waited as these clearly are superior.
what shall i do with these
I’d buy these, but they look uncomfortable; I think I’d rather try some sort of cochlear implant.
Also, they’re sold out.

was thinking about it but glad I missed 'cuz
