@ircon96 I thought about it possibly being something like that, too. If the dolls were all the same, I’d say it was lost cargo, but the sex doll throws things off.
@lisagd The same thing occurred to me about the sex doll, but i suppose it could have been unrelated/coincidental, or maybe it belonged to one of the crew & blew overboard?
@yakkoTDI There has been speculation that the cold temps of the waters in the northeast Pacific have a lot to do with the fact that the feet inside those shoes are relatively intact. In the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, bacterial action and small scavengers would have cleaned them out. This provides an unnerving possibility to consider when encountering a still-tied sneaker washed up on the Texas coast…
I just saw the season 3 premiere of “Beyond the Canvas” on PBS & it seems that shipping container flotsam is a common & inspirational theme all around the planet. The specific segment starts at about the 4:40 mark. I found both the science & the art angles interesting & thought this might be a worthwhile side note to this topic.
This is the annual creepy doll migration season.
Some of the weaker ones will naturally get washed ashore.
Reminds me of the now-solved mystery of the Garfield phones washing up in France for decades.

@ircon96 Anything is possible these days!
@ircon96 I want a garfield phone lol
@tinamarie1974 The perfect excuse to book a trip to the beaches of France!
@ircon96 like I need an excuse, twist my arm lol
@tinamarie1974 Amen!
My Dolls are calling all their Brothers and Sisters home!
Oh God.
The one with the barnacle growing out of its eye would’ve won one of the contests …
Could be worse.

@yakkoTDI
And I think I’m lucky when I find a $1 lol

@yakkoTDI That’s very careless of you to leave those out of the wood chipper. Try to be more thorough next time, would ya?
I think @Koolhandjoe should be setting up an art collaboration!
