@irishbyblood I also lived near Toledo once upon a time. Worked a summer at Dana Corp HQ (former Governor’s mansion), just down the street from Klinger’s golf course. Worked a PR thing there once during a golf tournament and got to see Greg Norman’s final shot in a playoff win. Very cool, and I am NOT a golf fan. But still very exciting.
@Pony I love a nice meat loaf. And baked/roasted potatoes. People who go to restaurants don’t know what they are missing. It’s always weird to me the number of people who live on take out/eating out.
Idk that I could stand living in a city but I’m not exactly the most social person. I guess if forced I might adapt. Nope.
Both of my daughters were born on Valentine’s Day (no, they are not twins), so my wife and I pretty much just say happy valentines day to each other and focus on the kids. Our dinners will be whatever our kids want. Maybe we’ll do Valentine’s Day dinners another day of the week in a few years when the kids are older. We were too tired with just 1 kid born that day to celebrate it, now that we have 2 born that day, no way its happening any time soon.
Normally we get a few heart pizzas from old PMurphs, but we’re both currently limiting our intake, so we’ll probably make our own low-fat pizza, and make the kids a loaded one.
@hchavers haha, some of us live in places that never really closed so we can go out to eat too! Fancy dinner, side of COVID, massive death toll, it’s the American way!
Maybe I’ll splurge for the rising crust frozen pizza this night.
A roasted garlic chicken alfredo sauce over fresh made pasta.
My wallet and I are, like everyday, are doing whatever I want.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a complete meal, right?
@Zeusandhera you should probably have something else to eat
I am having an old friend over for dinner.

The 14th is paçzki delivery day for our AHG scout troop fund raiser. So we may very well have those with (or for) dinner.
@katbyter When I lived in Toledo, it was a special day. In Klinger’s neighborhood.

It’s just me and my cats so I cook whatever I want whenever I want. No occasion required.
It’ll probably be my usual. If I worked, I usually don’t eat a normal dinner. Maybe some popcorn.
I don’t anticipate having a date by then.
I’m thinking I’ll make meatloaf with onion roasted potatoes. Simple fare, but we both love it.

@Pony @unksol
Hasselback potatoes, or however you spell it
The wife and I will be making seafood boils. Like Joe Crab Shack steam pots, but a lot cheaper and with less pandemic.
@shoelessjoek ahhhh…so you’re doing the reduced COVID recipe. Fine choice. And you don’t have to dress up, unless you want to.
@irishbyblood @shoelessjoek
Orrrrrr you can just go fully thematic… LOBSTA!

@FireMrshlBill clearly you like to do yours three months later in may
Meh. I’ll get my dog a heart shaped biscuit.
If I had a girlfriend I’d probably be cooking something I’d made and she liked. That usually seems preferred.
Also if I had a girl and I bought her these I’d be eating little caesars.
Well, I will be sitting at home staring at the pup, while he stares at me. Might engage in a game of fetch or Frisbee if it is decent outside.
@tinamarie1974 What’s better than the unconditional love of a puppy?
@ybmuG EXACTLY!!
@tinamarie1974 I’ll be sharing whatever with the pups too.
I’m thinking a heart is appropriate…
meh…

@thebigtverberg Love me a PM’s.
Hard tack , white rice, and textured vegetable protein.
@Limewater damn dude. Lol. Have you considered a battle hardened cat who only lives to kill rodents? Might help protect your stash
@Limewater so…what are you soaking that hard tack in?
Probably ordering out somewhere that has pasta with truffles or whatever. Definitely doing caviar.
We will eat out somewhere fancy. I feel sorry for all you lockdown / shutdown victims.
@hchavers haha, some of us live in places that never really closed so we can go out to eat too! Fancy dinner, side of COVID, massive death toll, it’s the American way!
@brainmist follow the science! Wait, who has the highest death rates?
@brainmist @hchavers Older family members and co-workers of people who are ignoring Covid precautions.
All I need is a tube of lube.
@irishbyblood vs other days or?
BBQ a couple ribeyes. Present them shaped like a heart. https://www.bing.com/images/search?q=ribeyes+shaped+like+a+heart&form=HDRSC2&first=1&tsc=ImageBasicHover
