@hchavers Technically, it’s a backhoe if it’s an excavation arm mounted to the back of a tractor. If it’s a standalone machine, even a tiny one, it’s an excavator. I used to get it wrong in a different way; for a long time, I thought that a backhoe was one of the shooting-boom excavators that used to be common, but seemed to vanish in the '70s. No current equipment manufacturer makes one as far as I can tell. They were popular with pool companies because they could dig a hole under power lines without fouling them, but their maintenance was a pain. Now that’s usually done with a skid-steer and a mini.
I really like this little guy. It works really well, and any R/C tracked vehicle with REAL TRACKS is a winner in my book. I’ve been playing around in the pile of sand we are filling sandbags with. I should make a little sandbox…
Can’t they just use it from the couch?
I dig it.
Calling all 3 year old wanna be earth movers of the future!
You may call it an Excavator, but we all know it’s a BackHoe.

@hchavers
Watch yo mouf!
@hchavers @werehatrack Which is the one they used to call a steamshovel?
@hchavers @lisagd Steamshovels predate the term “excavator”, and would be classified the same.
@hchavers @werehatrack Tell me I’m old without telling me I’m old.
It’s cool but it’s no Laegendary Buckster.
Can this move.20 tonnes of sand up a 200’ driveway with a 15% slope on one battery?
If so, I’m in.
@OnionSoup How long ya got?
@lisagd well, I’ve already hit my 40’s, so probably not long enough
@OnionSoup
Item 4 on today’s to do list now makes sense. I thought it was a statement and not an action.
After listening to the Blippi excavator song 50 million times with my nephew I know he will loveeee this!
I know someone who needs this!

@Seeds That first whale doesn’t look very buoyant.
@lisagd that’s why they’ve got those powerful swimming arms
To the moon, Alice!

This is supposed to encourage kids to dream of becoming architects? Color me confused.
@spavlis
Would that be piss yellow or poo brown?
@spavlis @yakkoTDI No. More likely, Jackson Pollack multicolor spotted.

How I would describe Karlach in BG3
Say your prayers, little one
Piece o’ junk, battery case doesn’t make contact with the batteries. Rest of it fell apart almost immediately.
@jaredkahle contact meh.com/support
@werehatrack done!
The arm functions but it doesn’t turn and tracks don’t turn
