we had this poll before, but, still too many to list! top ones that come immediately to mind include hydrangeas, marigolds, morning glories, johnny jump ups, crocuses, peonies, queen anne’s lace, tiger lilies…big fluffy baby pink roses…forsythia…it’s all wonderful.
I have a gardenia bush that has thankfully survived the Texas freeze of 2021. It was started from a cutting that my Dad got from the gardenia that was underneath my grandma’s kitchen window. She didn’t have AC in her house so when the windows were open in the summer, you could smell that gardenia all over the house.
Love iris!!!
I went to LSU and had to buy this when I found it on clearance at a local nursery. It needed to be subdivided and I got it for $4 for the gallon pot. Total score!
Moonflowers smell absolutely amazing. Not the prettiest flower but they are huge and fragrant. We grow them around our house and just stepping out the door in the summer you smell them. It’s rad. They come back every year and are super easy to care for.
@Star2236 Yeah, I love the fragrant ones too. I have a daphne bush that’s heavenly, and in a few weeks my honeysuckle vine should start blooming. I have a mock orange that’s intoxicating, too. Someday I want to have fragrant plants to bloom in constant succession from spring to fall!
I’m a huge lover of succulents and cacti. This is truly one of my favorites!
Lilacs. Forever and always, lilacs.

I like the ya ya sisters, Magnolia and Camelia.
the little ones that come up super-early, even through light snow on the ground. I think they may be snow crocus.

@Coldwyn they’re so pretty but they’re insanely invasive here in Oregon. I can’t get rid of them.

That looks more like a magnolia tree than a lilac
@Star2236 I tried multiple times (and a different key phrase) to try to get lilacs and finally gave up.
