@evgrosen It was never my intention to take a shot at her looks in any way, shape or form. It’s just that she is the person I most identify with a three-strand necklace of pearls.
My fiancée loves all the previous Pacific Pearl offerings, but if I buy them again so soon, she’s going to be suspicious about my relationship with oysters!
Hmmm…you’re misleading people, meh! In the blog I read "they’re all white AA-grade 8-9mm pearls sourced by Pacific Pearls from pearl farms throughout guess-which-ocean."
However, when I read the specifications, it is clearly stated that these are freshwater pearls. So we could guess at which ocean all day long, and discover that these are not from an ocean at all. Because they are FRESH water pearls. Which is also why they aren’t round. And they are also not all that valuable. They’re worth just about what you are selling them for. No thank you.
@rumpkin You can look up similar pearls from many sources and you will find that these are extremely well priced. As for Fresh Water, you are correct these are Fresh Water as almost all Pearls grown today are fresh water. The shape has nothing to do with being Fresh Water. Grade AA pearls are not fully round. If these were fully round AA+ then you would be paying 3 to 4 times the price. The earrings however, are AA+ as they need to be matched closely. That is why a pair of earrings on a cost per pearl basis are expensive relative to a necklaces cost per Pearl. Hope this helps you.
So am I the only one who’s a little grossed out by the image of @matthew fantasizing about giving his hand, er, sock puppet, er, imaginary friend (it’s weird however you look at it) a pearl necklace? Because we all know what that means, right?
I mean, let he who has a free hand cast the first stone, but do you have to give us a visual?
The 2 Pacific Pearls necklaces I got on the last-minute-before-Christmas were very nice, but short for anyone but a waif-thin model with a turkey neck. I ended up buying 2 matching bracelets to add to them (same clasp) and grabbed some matching earrings while I was at it. I spent another $200 on those, but with the really inexpensive initial necklaces, the results were excellent and my wife was very happy with them. Just be aware that these aren’t the longest necklaces in the world, and adding to a 3-strand necklace ain’t bound to be easy!
Sorry to hear you had a problem with the pearls. We sold a ton of those and yours is the first complaint about some kind of coating. Please contact our customer service team and we will have a new set sent to you.
Have any left of the 3-strand for us “special” peeps at 4pm? Just sayin’…
By the way, the one-strand with bracelet and earrings that I got from the same co. is lovely. Thanks.
Thank you. Everyone here should know that Meh shipped my purchase. According to the tracking number, it was the USPS that fouled up and failed to deliver it.
If these are the same as the last pearls, I’d stay away. I wish I could send the ones I got back, because after just a few minutes of wearing them they were staining my wife’s skin like they had some weird coating on them. Very poor quality, irregular shape, a waste of money.

No thanks, already have real pearls, (very UNcultured,) handed down through the family. Last V-Day, I gave the spousal unit a freshly made popcorn necklace-- she LOVED it. Then she ate it.
Did anyone else get the 3 strand ones and find that they are unwearable? One of the strands on the one I received is so tightly tied to the metal clasp that it can’t flex and sticks out. Besides that the string is frayed and sticking out on one strand. These have to be the worst quality real pearls I have ever seen. Complete trash
@wishlish Actually, after looking over their site, better than okay. It isn’t the highest-end jewelry, but it’s nice. If my wife likes the pearls, this was a Good to Very Good Meh.
@sepitts Super late response here, four months later, but yeah, my wife wore hers for the first time last night and the metal loop on the clasp popped its solder, leaving the strand dangling. Disappointment, but probably worth re-soldering, especially because it’s 25 days out of warranty.
I really like my 3 strand set. The pearls are very symmetrical and are larger and much higher quality than I thought they would be after purchasing some pearls from MEH previously. They are so elegant! I am very satisfied!
I never got my order and have not received a response from customer service yet. My credit card was charged. Next stop is disputing the charge with the CC company. Are you listening customer service?
The first image made it look like a USB device of some sort.
@cengland0 --looked like a tiny robot head with only their eyes visible to me!
@AttyVette That was what I thought. Tiny, piercing pupil-less eyes glaring at me, filled with hate.
@awk Must be a snobby robot…
I know I am 40, but I still giggle every time I see this on sale.
/giphy beavis and butthead laugh
Got one set last time, excellent quality pearls!
You too can look like Barbara Bush!
@huja My thoughts exactly - but at least she isn’t botox and plastic!
@huja Pearls are always classy.
@huja

@huja I think she looks pretty darn good. Thanks for the photo.
My fiancée loves all the previous Pacific Pearl offerings, but if I buy them again so soon, she’s going to be suspicious about my relationship with oysters!
@elipongo Ummm…how about your relationship with “clams”?
@eeterrific Just don’t get the crabs.
@aarond12 Or she might think the relationship is a bit fishy

@rumpkin That’s a good catch. Let’s see if @moose is up to tell us which is the correct spec.
@Thumperchick Use whichever set of alternate facts benefits you the most.

This is awesome! Just last night my girlfriend asked me to give her a pearl necklace.

@conandlibrarian HAHA
@conandlibrarian No no… Rimshot is a very different act.
Roses are red.
Violets aren’t blue.
I don’t have a girlfriend.
Valentine’s Day sucks.
I’m pretty sure that’s how it goes, right?
@Mehsturbator you saved yourself plenty of cash, that’s for sure…unless you end up at a whore house.
@Mehsturbator Think of it as a special mehsturbation day.
@awk That’s every day!

@joelmw Sometimes young men have certain urges. It’s perfectly natural!
@joelmw I’m less freaked out by the pearls than the eyelashes and sudden feminization of Glennnnn.
@cinoclav But wouldn’t little baby sock puppets be cute? Maybe not.
@sammydog01 I’m afraid of what abomination might be born.
@cinoclav That one is kinda cute. I was thinking more like this:
@joelmw And thanks to your post I was educated about the urban meaning of “ugly hand puppet” when I tried to find the above image. Thanks a bunch.
@sammydog01
Jewelry valuations are not really worth as much as the paper they are printed upon.
@KenC Paper is usually worth 1/12th of a cent (so it says on most coupons), so I’m thinking these pearls might be worth a bit more.
@SoftAsFur valuations. Reading comprehension apparently is becoming a lost art.
I’ll take the bag of M&Ms, thanks. Any color will do.

@Jonas4321 We found the same thing. Luckily the friend who got them, had just lost 40lbs and they fit her! Great idea about the bracelets.
That’s quite the pearl necklace…
@Thumperchick I’m a little disappointed it took 6 comments to get here.
Meh.
Meh- show us your pearly whites tonight eh?
Are certified valuations anything like housing appraisals?
@norman8 No. Housing appraisals are much more accurate.
@norman8 They’re more like “alternate facts” (aka “lies” or “utter bullshit”) estimating inauguration day crowd size.
Damn. If my husband hadn’t lost his job in November, I would so be there. Next time (and next job) for sure!
Those are some of the most non-round round pearls in the images.

@natemallad Are you new? We like to meet the new people.

@sammydog01 - no but I am one of the buyers at Mediocre.
Show the clasp next time; it makes a difference in my decision making. Thanks
@katefate Is the clasp not shown in the final picture?
@SteveBob316 I can’t make out how it works at that scale
Wanted the 3 string but sold out. What do I expect when meh’ing so late at night…still happy w the 2 strand…hope she likes it,
I feel stranded.
And sleepy :goes to bed:
@JT954 "Don’t leave me like this. Don’t leave me stranded"
Heart
Think of jewelry “valuations” or appraisals like MSRP on a vehicle. Only more off.
So I take it the necklaces are adjustable if you’re listing it at 18, 19, and 20"?
@katbyter No the three strands are different lengths. If they werent they wouldnt lay like they do in the picture
Have any left of the 3-strand for us “special” peeps at 4pm? Just sayin’…
By the way, the one-strand with bracelet and earrings that I got from the same co. is lovely. Thanks.
AA+? Meh. I only order pearls that are AAA+, AAAA+, or AAAAA+ rated.
@SoftAsFur Then Tiffany’s must love you!
So these are basically artificially inseminated clams that produce globes/globs.
@growyoungagain oysters not clams

Can’t say it’s the kind of pearl necklace I want.

I wish my wife would give me a pearl necklace.
@jaypeeh give one to yourself this valentines day!
@robson Maybe I’ll just treat myself to a nice facial.
@jaypeeh I giggled. I might of seen a video like that a few times.
Meh , your like the guy who jumps in to the crowd of people joking around and tells the dirtiest joke possible and takes it to far.
Seriously everyone bought one of these in the past year time to find another big seller stop taking it to far
No thanks, already have real pearls, (very UNcultured,) handed down through the family. Last V-Day, I gave the spousal unit a freshly made popcorn necklace-- she LOVED it. Then she ate it.
@MrNews Well, aren’t you special?
@MSticklefeather Not really, but my wife is. So I’d either get her the genuine item, or a silly joke, but not a mehdiocre knock-off.
Do these come gift boxed and with certificate of authenticity like the last Pacific Pearl earrings?
@carolqueen
“Certified valuation” LOL!!!
Arent pearls just oyster tartar? And now, thanks to creative mehtizens; japeeh, you jumped the shark, all I can think about is sperm when I see them.
Were any animals harmed in the production of these?
Holding out for chocolate ones or are those not in fashion anymore? I don’t know.
Dope
certificate is included. They come with a gift pouch but no gift box.
I’d like to see other kinds of jewelry on here sometime, not just pearls.

Mine arrived okay, but I am a guy and have to give these to my wife to properly evaluate.
Mine also came with a $50 gift card to their website. So…okay.
@wishlish Actually, after looking over their site, better than okay. It isn’t the highest-end jewelry, but it’s nice. If my wife likes the pearls, this was a Good to Very Good Meh.
@wishlish turns out it’s a generic gift card number, so everyone in the world has $50 off.

Anybody order two and only received one? I’m sure meh will take care of it. Just annoying and I am sure they have no more stock. Booooo
Any one else get a two strand where one of the ends of the stand had come un attached from the clasp?
@sepitts Super late response here, four months later, but yeah, my wife wore hers for the first time last night and the metal loop on the clasp popped its solder, leaving the strand dangling. Disappointment, but probably worth re-soldering, especially because it’s 25 days out of warranty.

Mine were not very round. They are all flat on one side. They are kind of terrible. I regret my purchase.
@Shmee pics?
@DaveInSoCal
@Shmee
Did you contact support?
@PlacidPenguin nope, I figured that is why they were so marked down. I was just sharing why I wouldn’t get them again.
@Shmee That’s no good. Definitely contact support.

Oh.
@thismyusername Is that anything like the song, “Flat bottomed pearls you make the rocking world go round.”
Sorry – it’s late and I’m very, very tired.
Haven’t got mine yet…
Very disappointing I won’t be giving my valentine this gift.

@PlacidPenguin @stradi’s contract is with meh, not usps.
@Seeds
Yeah. I realized that nearly 13 months ago.
So who should I talk to if usps has not found my package yet?
I still have not received this shipment, and I have no confirmation of any update…
@Thumperchick
Any chance you could look into this?
Hi @stradi the best way to get help is to write in to CS via the Support Form.
