@dunda If she likes pearls, it’s not a bad deal. I always get some for my mom. The adjustable ring this time is weirding me out. That’s usually only for toy jewelry.
@dunda
As an official woman, let me just say, run! I would wonder what I did to someone to deserve such a horrible gift. The last time I had an adjustable ring, I was in 5th grade.
You can buy this same thing from eBay (or Alibaba) for around $10/set - this is crap Chinese jewelry, don’t waste your money (sorry, Meh, you probably got a bad deal.) (Show me any oyster that can make a half-dome “real” pearl, and I’ll give you 100 quatloos. Jeez.)
What the stats on these equipment, do they raise defense stats? I having trouble with a dog outside my house and I need stronger defense. Please answer I haven’t left my house in 4 month
the adjustable portion of the ring is hidden so it does not show and you can wear it on any finger, that is why it is adjustable, definitely not a toy. This is a great set for the money.
@natemallad@pwillia7 I, A COMPLETELY NOT MEH EMPLOYEE CUSTOMER SERVICE TEST ACCOUNT, MUST ALSO CONCUR. NICE TRY, MEH EMPLOYEE. WHAT IS GOOD, MY FELLOW CONSUMER.
Had to log in to say, y’all need to research this company. The pearls have a very thin “authentic” nacre coating on them compared to fine freshwater pearls…Not real. Their “gold” plating has been found to be fake…It’s a chinese knockoff company imitating fine jewelry. I found forum posts where an owner of the company “Pacific Pearls” renounces the poor quality and is angry that this company is using the name “My Pacific Pearls” which causes confusion and tarnishes their brand name. The owner even found instances where “My Pacific Pearls” stole product images directly from their website, using it for their own counterfeit products. I checked out shop.pacificpearls.us and see much higher quality and prices for real pearls, with quality craftsmanship. I would look here if you still want an actual pearl.
…upon further research, a true “freshwater pearl” should not be an artificial bead core with thin nacre coating (some saltwaters are), it should be a tiny grain of sand/shell with solid nacre surrounding it…
@MariSama Sorry for the Pearl Police routine, but as a professional marketeer, false advertising and copy-catting really REALLY steams my oysters. GRRR
@MariSama We are PacificPearls.com, which is a US-based company with our main offices and shipping center in Texas. The accusation that we are a Chinese knockoff company is completely false and unfounded and you are distorting facts and unfairly spreading lies and rumors that you found on a forum. We have been in the pearl business for close to 10 years and have over half a million satisfied customers worldwide. Over half a million customers cannot be wrong!
We take pride in the quality of our products and every purchase is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Our collection includes genuine freshwater, South Sea, Tahitian, and Akoya pearls. The specific set featured here on Meh is made from authentic freshwater pearls with an 18-K gold-filled setting. Your totally false accusations that we sell counterfeit products is absurd and it is apparent that you have never seen our products.
Because we offer exceptional value for genuine pearl jewelry, we often attract the envy of our competitors and others with interest in the jewelry market. We offer high-quality jewelry at affordable prices and have a range of premium, higher-priced pearls with products on our site ranging from $36 to $996. We enjoy partnering with Meh and today’s deal at $29 is a steal for an authentic three-piece pearl jewelry set.
We welcome you to visit our website https://pacificpearls.com/ where every single product image has been taken by our in-house photographer. The accusation that we would steal images from another website is simply unthinkable.
PacificPearls.com takes pride in and has an exceptional reputation for passing on outstanding savings on high quality, authentic pearl jewelry. In the name of decency and integrity, we request you to take down your completely false and defamatory post.
@RiotDemon Yes, but this is part of them jumbling words and branding to be deceitful. This is why I was upset at Meh’s posting, because this product is literally falsely advertised, straight up, even the brand name on this page…These bargain pearls (in the same color selections, but this one a strand with “gold” clasp) were on Groupon at one point. They also come in a fake velour bag with “certificate of authenticity/value”
The ripoff company was with the added “MY”. They seem to have rebranded to Pacific Pearls and their old website, MyPacificPearls.com is not loading for me. Now it’s www.pacificpearls.com. Just look at their “guarantee” page…Money back guarantee? Authenticity lifetime guarantee? “As seen on” corporate logos everywhere? It’s full of gimmicks, and it’s not true, Well that’s not true either because one customer couldn’t return her item because it had been worn twice before the “gold” clasp started to rust. They have a policy to only take back “unworn” jewelry, it’s a loophole to fool customers.
There doesn’t seem to be a difference in product quality or marketing between these two companies, so I am suspicious that they rebranded to avoid complaints.
Which is still annoying, because they are co-opting the brand name of the site I posted earlier, who have been in operation in Japan since the 60’s. I just hate fakers, is all. Just want some honesty in the product descriptions. (Including you, MEH)
I only posted this encyclopaedia for anyone seriously considering that this was in any way a real piece of jewelry, false and deceitful advertising makes me incredibly angry.
@mariapacific Whatever Maria, then explain why this customer’s My Pacific Pearls authenticity voucher has the same company phone number as your Texas headquarters as listed on your website?
3333 Lee Parkway, Suite 600
Dallas, Texas 75219 USA
They may be nice quality jewelry, but i am here to be sure the buyer beware, I cannot stand companies lying to customers or fluffing their product up in deceitful ways.
I will not remove my post as it is an opinion of someone experienced in sales, marketing and advertising.
@mariapacific Also, most of the product images I’ve seen are stock models with photoshopped earrings and pendants. Be honest please. That’s all. It’s not a “steal.” It’s just a “deal.”
@MariSama You continue to rant and spread lies and misinformation. There is no false advertising here, despite your repeated attempts to suggest that. Our product descriptions are accurate and our products are indeed authentic. We stand by all of our guarantees on our website. Quality and customer service has always been paramount for us.
We did rebrand from My Pacific Pearls to PacificPearls.com because our existing customers tended to drop the “My” and because the name PacificPearls.com tells people exactly where to go to see our products. Companies rebrand and that is our prerogative to enhance our consumer connection. We are not passing off as anything other than who we are. We are PacificPearls.com. There are several companies online with similar generic names and we are not associated with any of them.
As to your point on images, we purchase stock images of models for some of our photos. This is a common industry practice to be cost-effective. All of our individual product images are of our own products taken by our in-house photographer.
Also, why does it disturb you that we mention our company is “As Seen On” several TV networks and publications when indeed we have been on all these networks and publications? There are no “gimmicks” here. Our products are featured because they offer exceptional value and our customers keep coming back for more. We have a customer satisfaction rating of 96% as audited by a third party review company with verified buyers. You may rant and rave and make false accusations but the facts speak for themselves. Someone with integrity and experience in marketing would not make such patently false statements in such an unethical and unprofessional manner.
Our team works diligently to satisfy our customers and the set advertised here on Meh is authentic pearl jewelry. Your posts, however, are false and defamatory.
@mariapacific@MariSama
As the Meh buyer of Pacificpearls.com, I can see how there can be some confusion with the names of the companies. PacificPearls.com was incorporated in 2011 in Texas and their offices are in Texas. At one time their website was known as My Pacific Pearls, and at one time they did business with GroupOn as mentioned by RiotDemon. While I did not find our particular item on GroupOn from years ago, I did look at the customer posting on GroupOn about MyPacificpearls.com and the overwhelming majority were very positive. Keep in mind that some negative forum posts are actually false and posted by a competitor. The post by MariSami refers to a negative forum post by Pacific Pearls a competitor in Asia, so you can take that post and believe what you want to.
We have sold product from PacificPearls.com on Meh many times as well as Morningsave.com and have sold thousands of pieces of their various products, with very few customer issues and those issues have always been addressed by PacificPearls.com within a very short period of time. We welcome anyone who’s bought Pacific Pearls from us in the past to chime in with their experience.
We stand behind the specs stated on our PacificPearls.com offerings, if a community member notifies us of an incorrect issue, we fix it immediately and that rarely happens. We are proud of the value we are providing to our customers by offering PacificPearls.com products. We measure our vendors value to our customers by the number of customer service issues we receive, and we can state that we rarely receive complaints about PacificPearls.com. They are an honest company that prides itself on quality, value pricing and great customer service.
I have personally met with the owners of PacificPearls.com and they are in fact a family-oriented business and have a fine reputation. We do our homework before deciding on who our choice of vendors will be. We have many Pearl vendors vying for our business but PacificPearls.com is our clear choice for value, low price and customer service.
It’s totally fine if you don’t want to buy this, we’re not trying to convince you of that, but it is important to clear up any confusion here –
@MariSama Meh knows they’re fake, Think of Meh like this Meh.com is basically the Online equivalence of Online Dumpster diving they buy up a bunch of bulk junk that didn’t sell in stores or in other online retailers and sells them here so nobody here is expecting anything real high quality.
Except in the cases where they’re selling Brand Named products such as Cannon Camera’s and KitchenAid Mixers
@NoImNotNSA Oh, I know that. I saw other users questioning if this is actually a “Good” gift for wives/pearl lovers, and the company touts the value at ~400 dollars, I was only posting so buyers would not be fooled into thinking this is 90% off retail. It’s probably only 50% discount at best, this jewelry is not worth $400+, certificate or not. At best, it’s like buying “aged” wine that’s only been in the barrel for two years.
@mariapacific I didn’t spread false information, as you just admitted your parent company changed their name to Pacific Pearls, just as I suspected. Also, dispite the “competitors” post, they have been in business longer than your company has, moot point. (also your company ripped off their name and registered in US, not in Asia, so who was really first? US copyright laws do not extend over there, conveniently.)
I specifically read a review of a customer who has no connection to any company, simply bought a necklalace and compared it to a verified authentic piece from yet another company that I never even named. She mentioned your products pass the basic test of being composed of carbonate, but she mentioned there is an artificial bead inside these freshwater pearls, and the discounted threaded pearls were advertized as being on a silk thread with a 14 K gold clasp…she tested the product from your Texas distributor and it had tin and copper for the “gold” plating, and the pearls were thinly coated and strung on nylon cord, NOT SILK AS ADVERTISED BY YOUR WEBSITE.
I do not contest that you offer fine jewelry at a greatly affordable price. I’m not arguing that at all, but you are advertising these as authentic pearls at deep discounts, and that is simply NOT SO. Just say “manufactured” pearls. Its not hard. I am mad that you try to pass this off as authentic natural pearls when it is in fact mass manufactured, there are shortcuts to making pearls and you wont admit that. This is why I’m disappointed, not saying your jewelry isn’t quality made but dont make your sale contingient on telling people they are buying real natural pearls and pure gold when they AREN’T.
The “as seen on” logos and guarantees are extra FLUFF to puff up your mediocre product and convince uneducated consumers into thinking they have a real valuable asset when they don’t. If this set of jewelry was REALLY worth $400 a pop, you wouldn’t have to use all these “guarantees” and other brand names and TV shows to convince a customer…this is why I say it’s decietful, and that’s my downright opinion. A good product will sell itself without your help or deep discounts. These are not individual, rare, natural handcrafted pieces, and I don’t appreciate that your “appraisal certificates” treat these products like they are. They are costume jewelry, just be honest. People will still buy it. And you will have less angry customers who were tricked into thinking these are showroom quality jewels, when they are not.
I have bought several sets of pearl jewelry from Pacific Pearls through Meh and Morning Save. I love them! Most costume jewelry earrings make my ears itch within five minutes of wearing them. These are nicer than costume jewelry, and I can wear them all day with no problem. I love that they are a matching set. They dress up whatever I’m wearing and look really nice. I just bought this set in black from Morning Save. Meh has a great deal on them!
One person’s trash is another person’s treasure. Isn’t that why Meh exists? My expectations are not high when I purchase from a discount website, but I’m usually pleasantly surprised. So it goes with this “junk” as you call it. Go pay thirty bucks for jewelry at a department store and see what kind of quality you get. The Pacific Pearls jewelry is nice. It has not caused an allergic reaction. I’m happy. I hope that tomorrow Meh will have something nice that you like and want to buy. Maybe it will even be a Fukobukuro or whatever it is called now. That way you can be Meh-ry!

@lordbowen shades of yours, below!
Specific Hurls, again?
This is so meh I can’t even think of a snarky comment.
You want would be a really pearl? Meh face pop sockets, I’d wear that on a chain around my neck.
@deathbynoodlez did you have a stroke?
In before all the pearl necklace jokes
I’ve bought Pacific Pearls jewelry from meh for my wife twice already and am a fully satisfied customer. Quality jewelry for a bargain price.
Ok women, tell me if I should buy this for my wife.
@dunda If she likes pearls, it’s not a bad deal. I always get some for my mom. The adjustable ring this time is weirding me out. That’s usually only for toy jewelry.
@dunda
As an official woman, let me just say, run! I would wonder what I did to someone to deserve such a horrible gift. The last time I had an adjustable ring, I was in 5th grade.
@dunda @punkynpye what is an unofficial woman?
@dunda I personally hate pearls. This is something my mom might wear but she also wears costume jewelry, so take that for what it’s worth.
My wife does like pearls. I could just give her the necklace and earrings, I suppose, and throw away the ring.
Jeez.)
@cbl_wv and an “adjustable” ring, really?? Nope, nope. Horrible.
@cbl_wv Quatloos will get you more than that!
LMFAO at the valuation for this… Crap
My wife has enough pearl bauble, but please tell her they are real. The photocopied certificates do help in the ruse.
$450 valuation for only $29!! I’d only expect great deals like this from Home Shopping Network.
@CatFriend That’s also how you know these perals are faker than a $3 bill
/giphy kind-positive-coast
What the stats on these equipment, do they raise defense stats? I having trouble with a dog outside my house and I need stronger defense. Please answer I haven’t left my house in 4 month
Kmart close out ?
Not even adequate as anal beads…
@Bumplepimp Ouch!.. They’re from real oysters though, presumably…
the adjustable portion of the ring is hidden so it does not show and you can wear it on any finger, that is why it is adjustable, definitely not a toy. This is a great set for the money.

“Over half a million customers cannot be wrong” ? 800,000 people were wrong in 1928.
@MariSama @NoImNotNSA one does wonder which independent valuer they hired to assess the value of their pearls.
At least you’ll look like you’re wearing Christmas ornaments.
Mock away, but I have a daughter that loves pearl anything and Meh always comes through for her
OMG, this pearl jewelry is awful. So ugly that I have an “ugly bitter face” thing going on.
@givancic Ugly bitter face? Isn’t that just another word for extream duck lips?
@NoImNotNSA Hahaha! Close, but my nose gets waaay scrunchier and the wrinkle lines between my eyebrows becomes more permanent!
can you wrap this one for Christmas? Lol
That’s a 4 piece jewelry set.
The pearly gates have been flung open, and the chazerai is tumbling out. Valuation= $45 gajillion bazillion.

My My…such words for fake junk…I wonder what next, the Fidget Spinner president coming on and telling us it’s normal for only 1 light to be working?
Is it just me or was the front page extremely dark?
