Here’s a Fun Fact for You
The use of camouflage was first widely practiced by German rifle units. Known as jäger units, the German riflemen wore green uniforms to better blend into their surroundings. By World War I, almost all militaries employed the use of camouflage and even recruited artists as camouflage officers. Some people joke they cannot see a person who wears camouflage. But if that were the case, I wouldn’t have seen that military man (in full uniform) making love to my wife–on a dreary day, not long ago–when I came home early from work.
@ruouttaurmind Equivalent to a 28,000 battery pack. The first time this ran there were some better descriptions of the battery than that but this is what it basically boils down to.
I gave one to my Mother as a gift. She’s been using it as a way to power her laptop and phone while sitting on the porch. The luxury of working from home as a coder. Must be nice.
We have nasty thunderstorms coming through in the next couple hours. She sent me an email of a list of things it was going to be powering. I had to remind of the one hundred watt limit. So it wasn’t a waste when i bought the first one. Gussied up battery pack or not. It’s still a nice little item.
I got one from meh before today. I like it. It works with my solar panel. I paid $69. At $49 I think it is a great buy. I won’t claim it’s the best out there, but all those connections = VERSATILITY. I want to buy another, but I cannot ju$stify. Maybe if it’s not sold out in the last 5 minutes …
@aetris@cokoniewski didn’t show up at first for me either. The vmp-only IRK wasn’t showing it either, not that I was on that page long enough for it to load anyway.
@cokoniewski@Steve7654 No you cannot become VMP anymore. VMP was the member’s name when this site first started who have never let their membership expire (like I did). Once you lose the VMP title you can never get it back, currently you can only pay to be a regular member.
VMP membership was basically retired a while ago, but those who kept up with it still retain the title and get a few extra privileges.
I used I turn VMP on an off all the time. The ability to do that ended when “new” signups were announced as ending. Ironically, I was not a VMP member when that announcement was made. I “re-signed” up near that end.

Capacity?

$ 59 on morning save less 20% coupon today=$ 47 less than this.
@Felton10 where did you find the 20% off coupon
@candiedisilvio1 @Felton10 email
@candiedisilvio1 they e-mailed it to me
@Felton10 math is possibly not your strong point. Or maybe just the use of commas.
$47 less than the price here?
@Felton Holy Shit MorningSave has something on it not aimed entirely for women? That is first.
@Fuzzalini Unlike you of course who has to take off his shoes and socks and pants to count to 21. Must live in Trump country.
@Felton10 @Fuzzalini You mean America?
How long it last, though? Will it run a small microwave?
@medz No. 100 watt limit.
@Fodder650 will it power anything to cook food with?
@Fodder650 @medz well, it could power your phone to call the pizza dude. That’s close to cooking.
@Fodder650 @medz You could burn it and cook over the flames.
@Fodder650 The specs above says the output is “110V – 80W Max”
@cengland0 I thought it was 100 but I was going off of what I remembered at work.

@cfg83 What kind of solar panel did you put on it?
@cfg83 @Fodder650 it’s limited to a 24 watt panel - not exactly a common off the shelf panel size.
And 24 watts doesn’t go anywhere fast, charging wise.
@Fodder650 (sorry, didn’t see your response until too late)
Bioenno 28W power solar panel :

$10 at thrift store in near-mint condition.
@cfg83 Oh cool. Need to keep an eye out.
I’m trying to buy this but I keep getting an error that this deal is only for VMP members is anyone else getting this error
@cokoniewski -
(persons trying to buy) - (VMP members) = (persons getting the error)
@cokoniewski next to your username:
Heart icon = “Member”
V icon = “VMP”
@cokoniewski you aren’t VMP, you are just a member (heart in your shield, VMP has a V - and that program is closed). That is why you can’t buy.
@aetris @cokoniewski math checks out.
@aetris @warpedrotors apologies. The VMP only tag wasnt showing up on my phone despite constant refreshing.
@aetris @cokoniewski didn’t show up at first for me either. The vmp-only IRK wasn’t showing it either, not that I was on that page long enough for it to load anyway.
@cokoniewski so, sign up for VMP, buy, then cancel VMP at the end of the month

Actually, that’s not 100% accurate.
I used I turn VMP on an off all the time. The ability to do that ended when “new” signups were announced as ending. Ironically, I was not a VMP member when that announcement was made. I “re-signed” up near that end.
That single 4-star review at Amazon… isn’t actually a review of the product.
@RedOak there’s a single 1-star review of the actual product saying it worked great until it wouldn’t take a charge.
@warpedrotors that’s odd. At the above Meh-linked Amazon page I’m only seeing a single rant (not actual review) by “Mr. Fix It”.
@RedOak it’s a review somewhere other than Amazon.
VMP. Foiled by the The Illuminati again!
