Oh shirt.
21I was tossing around the idea of having some poorly drawn designs as shirts on Mediocritee.
The theme? Meh.
Say it, draw it. Whatever, it’s up to you.
Think, 1-2 colors, maybe Microsoft paint is used. If you have no art skills at all, that’s great because I’ll be using my very limited abilities in illustrator to go over it to make it somewhat usable.
If we select your design(s) I’ll send you a copy of the shirts and a couple of coupons to Mediocritee or something cool.

@Kidsandliz I think I intended it be Irk in the saucer with a glass bubble helmet on. In my 8 seconds of planning I didn’t end up with enough room for that detail, unfortunately.

I went a little overboard with colors but they could be modified. Pretty sure the second one is the version we get here for every Irk.

There is a whole thread of my Goat Prize etchings that look a lot like this (way before your time and I can’t seem to find it, so that’s a good thing for the people of this forum).
I’ve always admitted that I’m the world’s worst artist and I have not improved over the years, so I think I will pass on this contest and give someone else a chance to show how bad they are at drawing.

This would actually be better with some color re-arranging and a black or very dark background.
Because, with t-shirts, white and light colors show stains and wear.
V dark colors hold up better under t-shirt use.

I personally absolutely loved seeing everyone’s creations and had a lot of fun going through everything. We sorted this by most liked this time and it worked out alright. That may not be the case in the future, but the top two (three) designs were our personal favorites for seeing on shirts.
Some questions that might get asked:
Q: When will these be printed?
A: Sometime this year, this is a side project in between my normal workload so be patient, it will happen.
Q: Where will they be available?
A: On Mediocritee.
Q: Why did this take so long?
A: See Q2, some work happened, some life happened but here we are!
Q: Will something like this happen again?
A: I suppose that depends on how many of these terrible shirts you actually end up buying.
Q: So how’s this going to work, are you really going to make these shirts?
A: Yes. I will be attempting to outline these with my limited Illustrator capabilities to make them usable for our team.
Q: What do the artists get?
A: Love! Adoration! Fame! And probably a little something more, we’ll be writing them and they can decide if they’d like to share.
Now, a question for you.
We have to pick one shirt color per design, what would be your pick for these? Black? Other neutral gray type colors? Or something wilder, like banana cream or light pink?

Definitely a dark shirt with white print. Not necessarily black… maybe dark heather or navy would work too. Doing that would inverse the image (i.e. cow would be white with “holes” for the spots. Saucer and speech bubble would be filled white as well), I think.

@Barney Purple is an option. Currently Georgia Red seems to be trending though.
Use a Beadazzler to build the Meh logo on the front of a shirt, but make sure to mis-apply about half the bits so that they can be flaked off immediately, but leaving part or all of the adhesive clinging to the shirt.
Nothing could be more Meh.

Bc your employees shirts are front and back. Mine also has a super cool trademark to match the shirt black shirt with white lettering so it stands out.

@Kyeh @riskybryzness @sammydog01 Not his fault, we haven’t made a secure place for him to keep it outside yet, and it is in my living room. I moved it to get something and didn’t realize I set it down of a strap for my bag. When I bent down to get my bag, I tugged and sent it toppling into my head, handle bar to the skull is NOT pleasant.
Still hurts to the touch or when I brush my hair…
