@alose I almost bought one of those. I’m rocking a FossilQ Hybrid for the last 3 years+. It’s got all the features I want in a smartwatch, but doesn’t look like a smartwatch. The battery lasts about 14 months.
I have a Fitbit Inspire 2, possibly the least featureful allegedly-smart watch around. The display is unreadable in bright sunlight, the amount of data accessible via the watch has decreased with firmware updates, and the OEM band was a manacle - but the metal mesh magnetic-clasp replacement I found is even more annoying.
@werehatrack My similarly basic model, the Charge 3, was $75 on clearance, which is still overpriced, but almost worth it just for the little tab on the silicone strap’s keeper that fits in an open strap hole to keep it from sliding constantly. I’ve always worn watches & that always drove me insane! I was happy to discover that the cheap, generic replacements on Amazon have the same feature. Bonus!
Actually, I think I got it on Meh, but maybe not. It looks like the one for sale today. In any case, I rarely use it as I am not interested in my step count and I can take my pulse when needed. On my bike I do use a chest strap heart monitor.
Love my Fitbit Versa 2. Would be happy to upgrade for the Versa 3, but mine still works well, so I can’t convince myself to spend extra yet. Just the right amount of health tracking, and just the right amount of smarts to be very usable, simple, and not half so pricy as the premium Apple/Samsung offerings, but with great support and app integration for key usage features. It’s not perfect, but for the price, it’s a great device.
But the company that made these went out of business not too long after this deal, the app that powered the watch slowly started breaking and eventually went unsupported in new versions of iOS, and I got an Apple Watch.
Moto 360: 1st Gen Motorola smart watch, I think. $2 from a thrift store. Can’t fully use pulse /fitness options under current Android version, but worth the price I paid. Also got some Fitbits (Versa 3, maybe?) for the same price; my brother claimed one of them, and it works well.
on my 4th, no 5th
Started with a martian notifier (Meh)
then an Ebay 1st Gen Moto 360
year later Ebay 2nd Gen Moto360
year Later TicWatch Pro
Currently Fitbit Sense.
so far the Fitbit is the best so far.
