I googled “I do not have a friend” to see if that somehow brought me to Meh. I’m excited to see what advertising I will get in the next few days as a result.
@djslack@Kidsandliz takes more than deleting cookies. Google has a list of everything you’ve ever googled. You can delete it… But that only prevents you from seeing it. Google doesn’t forget.
I always look at the active list, never timestamps.
“Active List”? If by that, you mean, the topic list that appears on the front page/deal page (screencapture), that is where I discovered the topic - it was already there before I responded above.
I only looked at the time stamps after wondering why a January topic popped.
Looking at the OP’s profile, it appears they liked their own topic 9 hours ago. Is that all it takes to pop onto the Active List?
I did not say I did not look at timestamps. And was not sure whether you meant something else by “Active List” since that was how I came upon the topic.
I’ve just re-read what I wrote - and thought it clear - but will restate it again:
I clicked on the topic because it was already on the “Active List”.
Upon noticing the post was from January, I wondered why it showed up since it was from January. Scanning the responses, the timestamps all also appeared to be from January.
So I screencaptured the “Active List” to show what I saw and why I clicked on it.
On point - my today response to the January topic was not the trigger for it appearing on the “Active List”! The topic was already there.
Leading to this dialog of “why did the topic pop apparently out of the blue?”
@RedOak I don’t know in this case, but one way to make a topic pop up is to add a reply, make sure it took and the post is on the first page, then delete the reply. You could also send a “whisper” to yourself as a new reply. Mystery zombie thread.
For what it’s worth, Nguyenthaonhi is an anagram of “A Huge Hot Ninny”.
I present this information without any added editorial comment.
@shahnm your discretion is legendary. And welcomed warmly.
Hmmmmm
I feel like this is some kind of weird test.
@RiotDemon - Welcome to…
THE UNCANNY VALLEY
@RiotDemon Maybe the same school project?
By the way, Thaonhi is an anagram of “A Thin Ho”.
Do with that information what you will…
@shahnm Johnny Casper from Millers Crossing could tell you that it’s also an anagram of “no hi hat”.

@shahnm I for one welcome our new thin ho robot overlords.
Are you a robot? I LOVE robots!
/giphy Hi there!
I googled “I do not have a friend” to see if that somehow brought me to Meh. I’m excited to see what advertising I will get in the next few days as a result.
@djslack or you can delete cookies… just sayin’ “wink”
Did you find anything to indicate why we have, what is it, 3 threads with identical or nearly identical wording?
@djslack @Kidsandliz takes more than deleting cookies. Google has a list of everything you’ve ever googled. You can delete it… But that only prevents you from seeing it. Google doesn’t forget.
I’d certainly like to make friends (and possibly children) with the girl in the header photo.
This is why we can’t have nice things.

I have too many friends. Can someone take a few off my hands
@tinamarie1974 I’ll take one if you’ve got one named Thaonhi.
@OnionSoup
/giphy oh! Fresh out of 'em
@tinamarie1974 sad. Those Thaonhis are in short supply around here.
Chào mừng đến với những kẻ lập dị - nhưng không ai ở đây biết bất cứ điều gì!
@aetris
English only please
Thank you
google.translate.com is just too feking much work
de gustibus non est disputandum
@aetris @Cerridwyn it says “Welcome to the weirdos - but nobody here knows anything!”
I have nothing to say…
@jst1ofknd my lips are sealed.
Fuck you I’m not falling for this again…
Why did this topic show up in the “active” list today, April 9th, 2019? (Prior to my response, it appeared the last comment was January 18, 2019.)
Perhaps enough folks stared responses in it?
@RedOak Could be somebot refreshed it with some spam that has since been zapped.
/giphy zapped
@RedOak I always look at the active list, never timestamps. Looking at timestamps only leads to bemusement.
@RedOak
Because new folk love you!

@RedOak I was using the same term you used, in my reply to your comment… this is communication, yes?
More importantly, how’d you know it was from January if you weren’t looking at timestamps?
@InnocuousFarmer

@rockblossom Sounds logical. In this case a self-star might have done it as well. So much manipulation… for what?
@RedOak
Forget everyone else. I’ll be your friend.
Your new BFF
I love you Thaonhi! Why did you tease us with your presence and then vanish into the ether?
@OnionSoup you may have scared her off…
I wasn’t a big fan of how you snapped your fingers and killed half my friends…
@BillLehecka Thaonhi is a murderer?
If that is true, I take back undying devotion to her.
@BillLehecka @OnionSoup so now it’s just dying devotion??
