Something went terribly wrong through is just… Perfect. Since I get those 2AM calls. Although admittedly for my subsystems jobs, not a real server. I miss the OH SHIT reports
@medz@PooltoyWolf@unksol
I think medz likes to shame us all …
I got laughed at for buying the Irk plushies right before they showed up as part of the Irk.
@Kyeh@medz the last irk was horrible. But they got me one last time with the irk in an irk. IDK why. It made me justify it to put in the box of monkies I never look at/the cats will eventually destroy… Meh
I’m now slightly wondering how much trouble I’d be in if I just gave every one a screaming monkey for Christmas…I don’t normally know what to get them and because I’m not a dick I don’t normally do that… But I’m very tempted to release chaos…
@werehatrack I have the rigid octance high torque I still haven’t sicced on anything. Can’t imagine needing more. But. Then there is the new Milwaukee and DeWalt. Even the harbor freight Hercules.
@unksol I take my Ryobi high-torque along on road trips for both safety and roadside assistance. I also have several sizes of rsgular impact socket and extractor sockets, and a few spare lug nuts in the most common size. That has been useful on occasion.
@werehatrack I just have the breaker bar in the back with the correct socket, and a basic set. But I haven’t gone more than an hour or two for years.
If I were going out west over the Rockies… I mean there’s nothing wrong with it. But I would want more tools… For some reason.
I can certainly change a part in a parking lot. But if you blow an engine or transmission we could be scrap it and get home territory when it’s a $400 vehicle
@unksol Oh, I carry a lot more than just the impact gun. I’ve done repairs on the road, including a water pump on a Chevy van (in a grocery store parking lot), a U-joint (in an Autozone parking lot), a fuel pump (on old carburetor engines, by the side of the road - on two different vehicles), and alternators in two other Autozone parking lots.
@werehatrack i just consider those normal socket set repairs. Actually needing an impact… very rare but why not. There’s also an element of would I take this vehicle across country. Dropping a u joint would be very hairy at speed.
Replacing one cause you caught the vibration and it was going yup find the next parts store/lot
There’s a shadow just behind me
Shrouding every step I take
Making every promise empty
Pointing every finger at me
Eh, I’m kind of fond of the banana one. And the 404 one. But I’m weird.
@werehatrack I agree. But maybe those are properly appreciated, whereas this one is under-appreciated?
But I don’t have any idea how to measure the appreciatedness of any video, so it probably doesn’t matter.
This is your snail.
This is your snail on meth.
Don’t let your mollusca do drugs.
@rockblossom don’t you mean this is your snail on meh? :snicker:
Little Toy Train will always be my favorite!
@PooltoyWolf like in an ironic kind of way?
@medz No, why? I’m a railfan and it’s an adorable video!
@PooltoyWolf
@medz Am I missing something or am I being shamed for liking a cute video of a toy train?
@PooltoyWolf you do you
@medz @PooltoyWolf I wouldn’t call it shaming.
I don’t dislike it.
I also liked the rooster. And his message.

@Kyeh so did I. The real shame is what I bring upon myself.
@Kyeh @medz the last irk was horrible. But they got me one last time with the irk in an irk. IDK why. It made me justify it to put in the box of monkies I never look at/the cats will eventually destroy… Meh
@medz @unksol Oh - so you succumbed too, but at least you got it in combination with the other Irk.
@Kyeh @medz well there was an irk. So…
I’m now slightly wondering how much trouble I’d be in if I just gave every one a screaming monkey for Christmas…I don’t normally know what to get them and because I’m not a dick I don’t normally do that… But I’m very tempted to release chaos…
@medz @PooltoyWolf If someone isn’t telling you that something you like sucks, are you even on the internet? How could you tell?
@medz @mossygreen Good point.
Agree
The tool videos I’m aware of involve a usually torque meter. Or a scale. But I dig it.
@unksol TTC FTW
@unksol Not a tool video, but a Tool video:
@werehatrack I have the rigid octance high torque I still haven’t sicced on anything. Can’t imagine needing more. But. Then there is the new Milwaukee and DeWalt. Even the harbor freight Hercules.
I just like seeing them bring the beans. IDK why

@werehatrack
That was far better than my recent $30 IRK.
Awww what a cute metal snail
Oh yeah, this is pretty excellent
Turtle Makes Weird Sound - Unbelievable!
I didn’t even make up the clickbait title, they did that all themselves.
