@DVDBZN@pmarin@ZeroCharisma Why not DR-DOS? I think I might have a copy still installed on an old PC. (Wonder if it still runs? Haven’t plugged it in in years, and don’t have time today. Kept it to play around with assembly language.)
@don@phendrick they put a tub with jets in this house. It is larger than the hot water heater and it would really need an inline heater to keep it warm cause it’s cooling by the time you fill it. I have no use for it but I would tolerate it and add the heater if there was a woman in it who wanted company so… You know. Compromise.
@unksol In Asian countries you usually scrub/clean yourself thoroughly first, then get into the tub, hot spring, or spa. The pre-cleaning is usually now with a shower wand, but in the classic way it was a wooden bucket of warm water.
@unksol If you use soap or detergents, the surfactants make the filth go to the bottom of the tub. If you aren’t using soap, what the hell are you bothering bathing for?
@j37hr0 one time cause he’s an asshole and MUST go in closed doors he got himself shut in The like 8 inch deep pantry…
In my defense idk where he came from and he was out of my eyeline.
After a few hours or me being gone all day he decides to climb the shelf, puts a claw into a bottle of oil. Has a shower. Of oil. And sits there crying.
That was the last good reason for a bath… I maintain it’s his fault
Shower is hot, quick, and complete. Bath is long cumbersome soak in water that decreases in temp before you even get in, and you still have to shower to get the you off of you and wash your hair. I’m too busy to waste time in a tub.
Bath, you aren’t standing and can lay back and relax
@ZeroCharisma
MS-DOS?
@DVDBZN @ZeroCharisma CP/M

@ZeroCharisma DOSBOX ftw!

I can pee in the shower. Commenting for a friend.
@tweezak Coincidentally the plumbing part at the base of the shower drain is called a P-trap! Commenting for a plumber.
@pmarin @tweezak I’m no longer allowed to pee in the shower…
@tweezak maybe but definitely not in the tub
@pmarin @tweezak But there are also P-traps in the drains of sinks, so…
@macromeh @pmarin @tweezak
But… some of them have S-traps, and I would definitely advise you don’t test that capability…
It’s easier to hold her head under the water in the bath.
You can’t relax if you’re standing. I vote for me-soup!
Hot shower, cold beer
@btwonder Hot tub, cellar-temperature bubbly
@btwonder @pmarin The key is contrast!
My bathtub is way too small so I’ll answer shower everytime if I’m thinking about my house.
@RiotDemon When we remodeled our tiny bathroom, I worked a lot of overtime to put in a soaker tub. it’s only 16 inches deep but it’ll do.
Hot Tub or or alternately known as a multi-person bath
@rtjhnstn Bonus if it’s also a time machine.
@rtjhnstn Or human crock pot.
@macromeh @rtjhnstn
my Mom (who is French) always mispronounced that as crackpot… Drove my sister nuts!
Seeing as how I’ve fallen asleep in a hot bath but AFAIK never during a hot shower, I guess I’m forced to vote for a bath being more relaxing.
@phendrick It depends on how long you sleep. When you wake up in cold water that is not so relaxing.

Hot shower: easier to clean.
Hot bath: GOAT.
Mmmm… Nothing quite like soaking in a warm pot of your own filth.
Gag/retch

@j37hr0 dirt yes… Oils? Nope. Where do you think the pink ring comes from?
Once I get in the bath, I can never get out, literally.
Candles, Alcohol, soft music, a book to read…I’ll take a bath anytime!
@AuntMean67 I was so excited when they waterproofed Kindles for this exact reason.
Showers are quick. Baths take longer. If you leave a ring around the shower, take this as a hint to do one or the other more often.

Sitting in my own body fluids and whatnot is not relaxing but neither is a shower really.
Since my shower is 4’x6’ with 2 shower heads… I’ll go with the “couple’s shower”…
@chienfou Sounds more exciting than relaxing…
@chienfou @Kyeh
ProTip: Do not google “2 Showers, 1 Couple”.
Only if it has a garbage disposal built in. The manuals for a DIY install are full of misprints.
cold shower.
No choice as this apt only has a shower.
