@therealjrn When my cousin visited from France years ago I bought a can for him on a lark… He was (rightfully) appalled so I sent him back with a couple to share with his rugby team!
Looking for something new? Ask for “Ossau Iraty” at your local cheese-a-teria. It’s a smooth, creamy-but-firm sheep-milk cheese, and it was the recommendation of a local expert when I asked, “What cheese do you think everyone ought to know about but hardly anyone ever orders?”
It’s absolutely delicious, a real crowd-peaser. Yes, it’s a bit more expensive than normal, but it’s not outrageous. Good to nibble on if you’re having snacks before dinner.
I am a dad = I am cheesy
Probably havarti.
But Swiss on my Reubens and Cubans. And blue cheese for my olives and salad dressing.
Never mind, I guess I like almost all cheese!
Smoked Gouda
@lseeber Isn’t it hard to keep it lit?
@therealjrn Sometimes. Always keep butane handy.
I love spray can cheese & Ritz crackers. It brings back memories of camp outs and days at the lake when I was growing up.
@therealjrn I’m team Cheez Whiz in a jar, myself.

Havarti with dill is pretty awesome but I had a buffalo jack cheese at a cheese factory nearby and it was amazing.

@UncleVinny Looks a little softer and possibly more mild than a Manchego, also from Spain, but further south near Madrid.
