Merry month of Meh-mas weekend edition
4So first a shout out to @canuk for the awesome Meh logo 3D printed for the fish tank. I have it currently gluing to a piece of dry live rock so that it sinks and will have a picture up tomorrow or Monday.
The birthday party went off perfectly, I said I was tired at about 10, and that if my wife needed anything to just wake me. I watched the next episode of the Mandalorian and hit the hay at 11. Fortunately I sleep through anything and the 8 teenage girls couldn’t wake this sleeping beauty even with their loud music at 1am.

So my poor wife was stuck dealing with them till they finally keeled over at 245. Sounds perfect other than this morning she was mildly grumpy having only gotten 3 hours of sleep.
Oh well the world continues to turn.
So I spent the day working only to come home to people who wanted to watch Christmas movies all night long. While there are a few hallmark movies that I can stand watching the vast majority are pure predictable crap staring Candice Cameron Bure or one of the theee other actress they seem to use.

So in the spirit of Christmas, and because I will need something to watch in 59 hours as I will be loading around with a trusty bag of frozen peas. What is your go to Christmas movie. If you were stuck on a deserted island with power and a big screen tv or a portable projector or whatever what Christmas movie would you watch? If you don’t celebrate Christmas then what holiday themed movie?
Lastly will considering Judaism as a religion and a nation really fix anti-semitism?

If I ever have to talk about my favorite Christmas movie I have to always mention Rare Exports. It’s a little dark, just like I like 'em. It’s not for the young kids to watch.

One of my favorite Christmas movies is Bell, Book, and Candle. Yes, I understand it’s not really about Christmas, and yet, it somehow belongs to the season. Another (and one of my favorite movies year round) is Harvey, which is perfect around this time. Lastly, The Bishop’s Wife, another movie that I can watch year round.
Scrooged, it’s a wonderful life, die hard, and Netflix just put out Klaus which even my callous 21 yr old had to admit he liked.
I just watched Stuber which is one of those cop-buddy films. It was stupidly entertaining. I found it worth my time and not a complete waste. It has varied reviews so I didn’t expect much but it was better than I expected.
@therealjrn it’s in my ‘watch list’. Is there any sort of Christmas tie-in to that movie… it would help convince SWMBO to see it during this time of year.
@chienfou Yes, the movie happens at Christmastime. I guess I should of mentioned that.
Mixed Nuts is our family favorite Christmas movie and watching it is a tradition. It’s got Steve Martin, Madeline Kahn, Adam Sandler, Robert Klein, Juliette Lewis and many many more. It never gets old and is the most underrated Christmas film of all time. Move over It’s a Wonderful Life…life isn’t a bowl of chocolates…it’s a bowl of mixed nuts

As mentioned, the Netflix originals, Christmas Chronicles and Klaus are both very good. My kids have had Home Alone on repeat for a few weeks now. I’ve always loved White Christmas.
