Meh it’s my birthday! Send me a package
20Meh since I’m turning 39, you should send me a package of 39 items to help me ease my fear of turning 40 next year.
Also my grandma was the only one that ever send me cards for my birthday and she died last year. So it’s really weird this year not getting a card in the mail from her. She always sent them with old photos of me from when I was a kid with little stick it notes on them. I was looking for something in the basement yesterday and happened to find the box that I put all them in, so I’m gonna look through them tomorrow. And scratch off all the lottery tickets I’ve bought in the last few months(hopefully I win some money).

Don’t fear your 40s. 40s are when you pull a full stop on giving fucks. It’s pretty empowering.

We just had a winning ticket sold at our go to lotto stop! 2.9 million dollars and nobody has claimed it! Funny story…

We just got our car back after 2 weeks in the shop. Since nobody (the other gas station regulars/Lotto junkies) had seen my guy down there buying tickets lately they all thought it was him that won. We only wish! Lol

On Wednesday, the office of the CT Lottery said that a winning Lotto! ticket was sold at the A1 Quick and Easy at the Mobil Gas Station in Waterford.
The winning numbers were 4, 14, 21, 22, 24, and 25.
The jackpot winner raked in a total of $2.9 million, before taxes.
So far, the winner has not come forward yet.

Funny story. And so crazy that the town I live in is Waterford. I just played the my numbers for my birthday yesterday for the daily 4. But bc it’s crazy I’m gonna go play those numbers today.

BTW… Turning 39 is harder than 40. It’s funny, I had the same “oh God I’m old now” moment when I turned 39. By the time I turned 40 it was “old” news and no longer seemed a big deal.

27 was really hard for me bc my boyfriend was having his midlife crisis about turning 30 and it made me think about it. I’m trying not to think about it but definitely hard when looking at pictures and I critique everything about myself from now 10 years before.

Oh BTW 40 is nothing. I agree this is a time you stop giving a Frack… but will then have to contend with 50… then at 60 you can get Sr. Discounts.

We may be only two years apart but we are for sure from different generations in how we were raised. I classify myself as gen x and him as a millennial. If you actually read stuff on generations it does say gen x goes into the early 80’s. There’s something different in those couple of years for school about how are thought process is, how we work, view others, our values, and even how we were raised (this is the same for all my friends with siblings of this age group too). I am gen x to a T, from the work ethic, lack of supervision, independence, not tech savvy, I don’t even have a social media account and my brother defines millennials. Like I said I think something really changed in how they taught kids in those couple of years that made the big shift between my brothers age group and I.
There was a big shift in how we were raised to from the freedom that I had and what he didn’t.
