Hi peeps. I’ve been away for a while and was wondering if we’re playing fantasy football again this year? I went back a few weeks in the thread and didn’t see any posts about it. Thanks!
@sammydog01 can’t be the commissioner. I’m not completely convinced her kids were participants in the league last year…or that she has kids at all. This opinion isn’t because I am bitter that I lost to her in the playoffs despite maintaining the best team in the league all season long. Definitely not bitter.
I own half the wide receivers ranked between 22 and 32. How mediocre. And heads up, @elimanningface, @brendles, and @becca, you guys probably know this but there are two Saturday games this week.
I got a shiny new tight end to replace the one with knee problems. He was doing so well then his foot was pointing in the wrong direction. Get well soon, Tyler, and maybe learn to hit a baseball.
@elimanningface My kicker is the only player I drafted that isn’t underperforming or outright sucking. Except for Matt Ryan and I dumped him week 2.

The whole trying to pick the best player thing isn’t working out for me so I’m thinking about just picking up the best looking player. Greg Olsen is available and he’s cute. I may have to dump Carson Wentz though.

Similarly, this season, if you drafted Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey, odds are pretty good your team was still playing for something this past weekend.
That was fun. My quarterback was injured and didn’t play, my top wide receiver was injured early in the game and scored no points, and my top running back DIDN’T FUCKING SHOW UP FOR WORK. @bullrocky You were incredibly lucky to be up against me this week.

Don’t get me wrong, I loved the old guy and had fun getting gifts from him, but deep down I knew it was just a story and that my family was the ones buying those gifts. Matthew Berry suggested a solution for the problem with resting top players in week 17- play one fewer regular season game and have a special contest in week 17- winner is the most mediocre team of the week. I like that.

I’m in mourning for Wil Fuller today. sigh
@brendles I was so sad to see that. I picked up Watson early last year and Fuller too. Watson was amazing and made Fuller amazing too. I hope he’s back next season. Watson looked like the star he was last year- I hope he keeps it up.

@elimanningface I’m not obsessed (yet), but definitely pay a lot more attention to the individual players since I started playing FF here.
@brendles @elimanningface During the game they said he was the most sacked quarterback in the league. He was so much fun to watch last year and it was great seeing him in form again. Even if the Dolphins really didn’t try too hard to stop him.
@brendles @elimanningface I pay attention during football season but not the rest of the year. That’s too much like work. And just because of fantasy football which I started playing here.
I just checked the league standings- 8 out of 10 teams have a 1 game streak and the other 2 have a 2 game streak. Talk about a mediocre league.

@elimanningface @sammydog01 I don’t have children, but personally, I don’t remember ever really believing in Santa. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the old guy and had fun getting gifts from him, but deep down I knew it was just a story and that my family was the ones buying those gifts. Perhaps my parents told me from the beginning it was just a story and I don’t remember the telling; I think if I had ever really believed, I would also remember the day the illusion was shattered. I’m going to have to ask Mom about this now, lol.

I get people thinking it’s poor etiquette to grab waivers when you’re out of the playoffs, but I still say go for it. Better to be an active participant than not.
@becca Thanks for saying that- I didn’t watch that episode of the Fantasy Show until after I hogged all the players and that meanie Matthew Berry made me feel bad. (And I applaud you for picking up Connor so fast. It was a great move.) Good luck against Snowflake. Have you ever seen someone so lucky? It’s ridiculous. And yet I have to root for him.
