@sammydog01 can’t be the commissioner. I’m not completely convinced her kids were participants in the league last year…or that she has kids at all. This opinion isn’t because I am bitter that I lost to her in the playoffs despite maintaining the best team in the league all season long. Definitely not bitter.
That was fun. My quarterback was injured and didn’t play, my top wide receiver was injured early in the game and scored no points, and my top running back DIDN’T FUCKING SHOW UP FOR WORK. @bullrocky You were incredibly lucky to be up against me this week.
@sammydog01 I was doing okay until the Broncos D/ST lost almost all 9 points they accumulated and the Cowboys actually showed up for the game and kept Odell Beckham Jr’s points low. I’m 0-2 this season so far
The whole trying to pick the best player thing isn’t working out for me so I’m thinking about just picking up the best looking player. Greg Olsen is available and he’s cute. I may have to dump Carson Wentz though.
@elimanningface@sammydog01 Broncos DS/T had been sucking up until last night. Thanks, Cardinals. I doubt the Broncos will post that many points for the entire rest of the season, though. (Now watch them explode.)
@elimanningface I’m not sure what sucks more- losing because you forgot to change your lineup or losing because you have no one on your bench that scored either. Yeah, I guess your loss sucks more. At least it wasn’t to a relative who likes to gloat.
@brendles I was so sad to see that. I picked up Watson early last year and Fuller too. Watson was amazing and made Fuller amazing too. I hope he’s back next season. Watson looked like the star he was last year- I hope he keeps it up.
@brendles@elimanningface During the game they said he was the most sacked quarterback in the league. He was so much fun to watch last year and it was great seeing him in form again. Even if the Dolphins really didn’t try too hard to stop him.
@elimanningface We meet again. I’m giving you my excuse for losing right now- I have one player who hasn’t shown up for work yet, 6 players on bye, and my top wide receiver just got traded to a team on bye. Count yourself lucky. Because I would have crushed you.
/giphy for sure
@elimanningface Did you not see my post above? My 166 points firmly moved me… not one bit. I’ve been in last place all but one week. I have my eye on a new guy tonight though. No, you can’t have him.
/giphy he’s mine
@elimanningface Didn’t we both make the playoffs last year? Ah, memories. @brendles I know it looks bleak but for some reason your opponent has the Rams DST in for tonight. I hope they score a bunch of negative points for you.
/giphy negative points
I WON! I WON! I’m still in last place. Snowflake has been impossible because he’s doing so well. I checked his line-up last weekend. Every player was autodrafted- even his kicker and DST. Life is unfair.
@brendles I was kind of rooting for you so one of us could make the playoffs, but you’re still in the running and playing the worst team in the league next week. Good luck! Congratulations @elimanningface! And did you guys see Lamar Miller run? I knew he was warming my bench for a reason.
@brendles I just noticed that you are second to last in waiver order even tough Dragontrainer has a better record. So I looked up the playoff rules. Turns out that the division winners go to the playoffs and then the two best teams after that in either division. I had no idea that’s how it worked. So you’re ahead of her. Cool! She’s locked into a wild card slot though. But you need to beat me. And I’m player shopping tonight. Where are all the wide receivers?
@sammydog01 I can’t believe how that went down today! I’m happy Kittle performed a miracle for me, but I hate that it was against you. I was certain you were going to win by the slimmest margin I’ve ever seen.
@sammydog01 1. I hope there is, could be funny. 2. Root for dragontrainer. I sorted by points and Team Flake scored the most points and had the least amount of points scored against them. I don’t think I’ve seen that before in fantasy.
@brendles@elimanningface The Fantasy Show says it’s bad etiquette for teams in the loser’s bracket to pick up waiver wire players. I got a pile last night. I’ll leave it up to you- should I stay off the wire, especially seeing that I’m in first place again?
(@becca grabbed James Connor before I realized Le’Veon Bell wasn’t going to show so I have no regrets in picking up the last Steeler RB standing. Especially since it wasn’t until this morning- I wanted dragontrainer to have a shot at him. She declined.)
@brendles Since you’re the only one in the playoffs likely to answer I will pick up whatever player I feel like on Tuesday nights. Thanks! (Picking up dudes is my favorite part of fantasy football. So, so many available men.)
@elimanningface@sammydog01 I don’t have children, but personally, I don’t remember ever really believing in Santa. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the old guy and had fun getting gifts from him, but deep down I knew it was just a story and that my family was the ones buying those gifts. Perhaps my parents told me from the beginning it was just a story and I don’t remember the telling; I think if I had ever really believed, I would also remember the day the illusion was shattered. I’m going to have to ask Mom about this now, lol.
@becca Thanks for saying that- I didn’t watch that episode of the Fantasy Show until after I hogged all the players and that meanie Matthew Berry made me feel bad. (And I applaud you for picking up Connor so fast. It was a great move.) Good luck against Snowflake. Have you ever seen someone so lucky? It’s ridiculous. And yet I have to root for him.
@sammydog01 Poor Dragontrainer . This is not the time of the season you want to see players on IR or out completely. She might want to take a look at Tyrell Williams for WR and Chris Thompson for RB. As a side note: I wish I could kick Kareem Hunt’s ass for her!
