Mediocre Mailbag – We screwed up & you gave us stuff!
28First off, y’all are awesome. No snark or sarcasm, I love that our community is invested enough in our little ecommerce playground to take time out of their lives to do stuff like this. We appreciate all of you (yes even you, @unixrab, you scamp).
As some of you may remember, we had a MINOR shipping error happen recently that made us ask quite a few people to send something back to us. Of course some of you weren’t content to just send back a camera you didn’t order, oh no…you had to add a little something extra…
First there’s this cool meh face:
It’s warming up here in Texas, so we’ll do our best to take this advice to heart.
To be honest we were a little down about the whole shipping mix-up, until we saw this:

Thanks for the Pop Rocks anyways, as you can see we survived with our lives…barely.
What’s next?
When I was younger I remember waiting next in line in a grocery store to use the self-checkouts when a flustered man pushed past me muttering about Milano cookies while holding in armful of boxes of them, that is what getting these made me think of (they were also pretty tasty). We’re not sure who sent these in, but thanks!

What camera was it that you sent out erroneously? Very kind of folk to send you all this stuff - looks like y'all will have munchies for a bit. :)

Yep. If you were to send me a prepaid shipping label you'd probably end up with a bunch of crap that you may or may not be able to use. Technically, you're paying for the stuff though as it adds to the cost of shipping..

@Pavlov LOL. I like Old Navy and the Camel on a Bus one the best. The camel one was AWESOME because I alled a switchboard which apparently doesn't disocnnect until the caller hangs up. So you get to hear their entire reaction to my call agfter they THINK that I was off the line. Priceless!

@jeffdoh Credit Union may be my favorite. The woman who answers your call is so damned sweet and seems entirely unfazed by the misogyny. She also does a nice job being sympathetic but keeping her and her agency covered--which I have mad respect for.
@jeffdoh I love that your preferred ending to every call is "I love you." :-D And, really, that seems to be what these characters are looking for--love and acceptance. Sigh, aren't we all?

@Thumperchick I didn't mean it that way and I am very sorry (see more in depth apology below). I didn't make any money on this (almost all the CDs were given away for free) and I will gladly refund anyone who paid $1 for one of my silly CD coupon codes (which was really just a joke) and replace it with a free coupon code for them. I was not trying to make any money here, for whatever that is worth. Just having fun..

Hey @jeffdoh, we're seriously grateful for the Box of Candy that you sent to us, really, you obviously didn't have to do that and it was super nice of you…but the whole reason for this post is to show off everything we've been sent recently and it kinda feels like the @jeffdoh show in here now.
In general people don't take kindly to much advertising or self-promotion around these parts, but you got a pass because you clearly called out that it was your company and it was cool that you sent us stuff. That said, I think it's probably time to make a new topic if you want to post more about your company and stuff and let people discuss other things in here.

@mfladd So good! I brought them home and convinced my husband (who normally hates them) and he said they "were better than most black licorice" he'd tried before. Counting it as a win! :)
