@eggsterminate Question-I got a Libratone mini portable speaker in a similar large grey tube that was in a sealed plastic bag. Given your picture showing the actual unit is smaller than the grey tube, were all the parts (charging cord) included in the tube.

@tinamarie1974 I missed it sorry-As far as the bubble wrap goes, at some point they are going to get tired of wrapping those indiv items for me, then watch out. My box was small but every nook and cranny was filled with things so they made an effort to stuff as much in the box as possible.
With a mark on my back such as I obviously have, they can make any example of me at any time and with two more IRKs coming-all bets are off. My wife was convinced this one was going to be regretful and I am glad the people at Meh proved her wrong.

Don’t want to jinx my good luck, but maybe them knowing who the box is going to is not necessarily a bad thing. Time and the next two IRKs will tell.

When I first read everything was in bubbles just/ONLY for you, my thought, someone’s following/stalking YOU for sure! A good thing, IDK? You’ll have others getting their panties in a twist whining about favoritism and whatnot. Somehow I don’t think you’re the type to care what others think (unles it’s about your wife/family ) SO that’s really a mute point. However, one of MY long time questions HAS been answered. @Felton10@Lynnerizer@tinamarie1974 As there are 1000+ of them most of the time it is highly unlikely the majority of them are anything other than totally random. Meh does have a sense of humor and so on occasion I am sure someone at meh does single someone out for a joke, a specific item, etc. but that would be about it. Clearly the current bubble wrap caper is human directed, giving some entertainment value to many, but I would guess this is a fairly rare event.
@Kidsandliz@Lynnerizer Yes they definitely have a sense of humor. I remember the time I was picked to receive an entire box of goat food, salt lick, and goat grooming stuff (I think). I have good friends with goats so it turned out good for me but it did start an entire conversation and I think that was meh’s goal and it was accomplished.
Perhaps they sent me the box specifically because I was active in the forums and they wanted to give it to someone who would post pictures and start the discussion.
@cengland0@Lynnerizer I came within inches (I had to decline when I got the call since I literally had no place to put a pallet of anything) of getting pallet of broken TV’s. What likely had prompted that was I had posted that I had bought 2 broken laptops for $25/each from the university’s sell our unwanted crap to the public warehouse and made one working one out of them. It only took me 3 tries, I went from 7 hours in one try down to 2.5 hours. When done I only had 2 screws left over too. LOL. Considering all I was doing was using logic when swapping out parts I got lucky. The person who they then sent the pallet to got several working TV’s out of it. Wish I had had the space to store the pallet.
@Kidsandliz I remember that TV situation but didn’t remember who was involved. I received one of those TVs myself on that same Fuko incident and the screen was broken. It was not economical to repair so I salvaged as many components as I could and thew out the rest. But, if I had a whole pallet of them, I would have attempted to swap out parts to make a couple working units out of them. Maybe one had a power supply issue that you could take the screen out of to put into another case that just needed a replacement screen.

About 10 years ago my niece was a teenager and staying at the family cabin in Vermont. The cabin is old, hand built by her great great grandfather. They did have a phone installed way back in the 50’s/60’s and it still even had a party line, you could hear many people on the line, many conversations. The thing that was SO funny was that my niece couldn’t figure out HOW to use it or dial out, she’d NEVER seen a dial/rotory type telephone!

My girlfriend steals all my bubble wrap. Any time I get a package, she goes through it immediately and takes the bubble wrap. I’m not 100% sure what she does with it but she send a lot of packages to Puerto Rico and Boston but I also know that she uses the flat rate boxes and packs them so full that you can barely lift them. There wouldn’t be any room in those boxes for any light bubble wrap.
Whenever she travels, she packs her suitcases to the max and even goes over a couple pounds. You’re allowed a bag up to 50 pounds and we weigh it before she leaves and she removes stuff until it’s about 54 pounds and tries to sweet talk to airplane guys to accept it without any additional fees. She might pack the more fragile things in those suit cases with my bubble wrap.
I think she sends the heavy non-fragile items through the mail and the light fragile items through her luggage wrapped in the bubble wrap.
I would love it if meh sent me an entire roll of bubble wrap in my IRK even if there was nothing else in it.

@Dakini@OnionSoup we got a great hairdryer a couple years ago too! It is so great and quickly became the main one the kids use (they have enough hair to dry, I do not).
Feels like I have more regret than most…My haul included an open box returned package of LED outlet covers - with RMA slip and customer address, Green IRK bag, and Toothbrush coin…I know we’re all rolling the dice here, but this seems more regrettable than I could have expected.
@mick I wish Meh would handle items like that by collecting order for 10 seconds or so, then selecting the buyer at random. It would be a better kind of random than “is your Internet connection good enough to be first”.

The Pulse Oximeter doesn’t work. It comes on but doesn’t sense anything. Can press the button to power on but doesn’t turn itself off. Instructions say goes into standby in 8 seconds so I think it’s broken. I’ll try taking it apart to see if I can fix it but I don’t have that much hope.
The bluetooth speaker doesn’t come on and looks like it was a customer return because it wasn’t sitting in the box properly. It does not come on but I’m hopeful it just requires a recharge. Charging now but it’s almost 11pm my time so I’ll have to wait until the morning before I’ll know for sure.
Update:
The Oximeter still doesn’t work. Although it was difficult to take apart, I finally got it to pieces and inspected it under the microscope. Everything looks soldered okay but there were slivers of metal stuck to the edge of the PCB that curved up and was touching the top of the board. Here’s a microscope shot of one of them but there were 3 in total. They could have shorted out something. I removed them and retested and still not working. Next step is to get the oscilloscope out of mothballs and see if I see any signals coming from the sensor.

The bluetooth speaker is still completely dead after a full night charge and will require me taking it apart. I don’t see any screws so I’ll have to work on it carefully in case I get it working that I don’t mess up the case too badly.
@Kidsandliz Thank you. I love my microscope and use it for all sorts of repairs. Even use it to get splinters out of fingers and other non electronic uses.
Here’s my microscope setup. That’s a 4k camera on top but I only have a 1080p monitor attached so I’m not getting the full resolution I could be getting.
I’m in the market for a cheap, possibly used, 4k monitor with HDMI input. Can be a small TV or computer monitor. Speakers don’t matter in this situation. I did test it using the 4k monitor from my computer and the resolution is impressive coming from that microscope so I’m hopeful that one day I’ll find what I’m looking for. I might visit a couple pawn shops in the area for a good deal on something used. I don’t use this every day so I want something real cheap.
Most monitors that are on sale are only 1080p or 1440p gaming monitors. I need 2160p and that’s what you get with all the TVs that are out there right now – except for the small ones. Weird I can get a 4k 55" TV for cheaper than I can get a 27" computer monitor. I really don’t care that it’s 165hz monitor. I only need 60hz for this purpose.

@Lynnerizer If you’re referring to the Oximeter, there’s always a high probability of me screwing something up. But then again, it was in the IRK so I suspect it was defective before I got it.
Mine takes 2 AAA batteries. The batteries tested good and were brand new.
Another update:
The bluetooth speaker was glued together. Once I figured that out, I was able to remove the grills and that exposed the screws.
If anyone is interested, this is what the speaker guts look like – pretty impressive.
Those batteries look like 18650 size but have 4 wires. Strange. They have similar voltages as a regular 18650 Lithium-Ion so I doubt those extra wires are for balancing. Maybe there is a temperature probe inside the package and using the yellow wires. I am detecting voltages on those yellow wires too.
When I tested the voltage on the batteries (after a full night of charging), I get slightly less than 3V which is the minimum cutoff discharge voltage I would use when creating a circuit. I am currently charging them manually with a professional battery charger external to the speaker. Will wait until the charge is done and then test the speaker again to see if it’s just the charging circuit or if the whole speaker is defective.
If a single battery goes below 3V in a Dewalt 20V pack, the entire pack stops working. You need to disassemble it and charge each cell up individually and balance them manually. That will revive the battery pack. I’m hopeful that this simple technique is all I need to revive this bluetooth speaker. We shall see.

Ahh ha, I gotchya! Are you a electrician of sorts or just a electrical hobbyist? My dads a retirerd self employed electrcian, he sold & repaired major appliances and TVs.
You brought back memories of my dad always tinkering with things, sometimes HE was the ONLY ONE who’d see anything wrong/broken with whatever it was he was so called “fixing”! Lol… Now, in his retirement, he’s 1500 miles away basking on the beach, playing golf, in warm sunny Florida. Quite honestly, I so do miss his un-fixing of non-broken random household objects/items! Can’t wait for his visit next month!
@Lynnerizer Not an electrician. I’m a retired banker. Spent the my last 27 years in banking and retired in 2017. However, I do have electronics training. That’s not to be confused with electricians though. Two different jobs. Electricians usually work on high voltage lines in your house and know the relevant electrical codes to run wires to your lights and appliances without burning down your house.
I had 3 years of electronics training from 1980 to 1982. That was when components were all through-hole and logic chips were all 74 series TTL or 40 series CMOS. Circuits rarely used processors or custom chips like devices use today.
It’s hard to fix things now because everything uses SMD (Surface Mounted Devices) and they are so small you can barely see them. To describe how small they are, maybe you see a black PC board on the red silicone mat in my microscope photo. That’s the board for my macbook pro that I’m fixing. I needed a small capacitor of 1nf. That capacitor’s size is called 0201 meaning it’s 2 millimeters long by 1 millimeter wide. That’s small. I had to order a quantity of 100 even though I only needed 1 and will need to wait over 60 days for it to come from China because there are no local Radio Shack’s that would sell this kind of item.
I put the bad capacitor in a small ziplock bag about 1" x 2" and you look at the bag thinking it’s empty because you cannot see anything in it. Without the microscope, repairs like that would be impossible.
The chips are all custom made for that device and, if they aren’t, the manufacture rubs off the numbers to make it impossible to reverse engineer or fix. Good luck getting a service manual or schematic. Back in the 70’s and 80’s every device came with an instruction book and a schematic at the back of the book. Companies wouldn’t dare do that today because they want you to throw away the device and buy a new one.
Latest update:
The batteries were way under voltage so I got them charged up to 4.1 volts after about 5 hours each (10 hours total). Batteries were rated for 2000 mAh but I was able to put 2317mAh in them.
Unfortunately even after installing charged batteries, the speaker still doesn’t work so it’s not just the charging circuit that is defective, it’s something else. Will take it apart to smaller pieces to see if I can visually see anything wrong but I’m starting to lose hope. Will have to wait until later though.
@cbilyak Well this IRK is all about gifting. Wife has planned to gift the bag to my mom, kids will give themselves the OWL light and noone in house has a iphone so we will give it away.

I loved mine! It was my first one ever. A nice-sized tote bag, a fuzzy heart charger to put on a handbag, a car charger, some paper owl lights on a string and a makeup brush. Not sure if I’ll use it all but I thought it was $5 well-spent. No Instant Regret. I have another one coming from the April Fools Day run so maybe next time.

The box had a slight bit of heft to it so I was excited to open it up. What could be inside?
I got:
-A long string of Texas air! Which is kinda like giant bubble wrap, but more useful because you get more air per pop! Although I’m already in Texas and have plenty of air. But thanks Meh for providing some extra.
-A cheetah print “Waist Slimmer”! Not quite my thing, but I guess it might come in useful at some point. Maybe I could install it on my cat who seems determined to overgroom her belly.
-A wireless charging pad with build in alarm clock! Box was open and charging pad is a little dusty. Haven’t had a chance to see if it works.
-A set of Gel Gloves! I’m kinda excited to try these out. All the handwashing over the past year has left my hands dried out and red. Maybe these will help.
-Two (2!) Walking Dead coloring books nad a pack of 54 colored pencils! I’m not sure if coloring zombies and the accompanying post-apocalyptic wasteland will be relaxing or if maybe I could use this as training for a new career as an animation colorist. Either way, those will be put to good use.
-An orange Irk bag!
-A new cardboard box for my cats to explore!

You know, in case you are suddenly 20’ under water in a flood and don’t have scuba gear or in the middle of a volcanic eruption… Yeah I know no volcanoes in TX, but who knows the yellowstone one might blow up and TX might be covered in ash… you never know.

Your comment also made me realize that if Texas is ever evacuated for some reason, I could probably make good money selling “Texas air” to natives who are upset for having to resettle somewhere with inferior air. (I’ve met people who so much “Texas Pride” that they would probably pay a lot for “certified Texas air”. Texans can be weird.)

@gogrrl It came with two other smaller toys (an etch-a-sketch and a simon)-all smaller than the original for $15 at Meh. Our daughter took the other two and left me with the slinky which is one I wanted anyway. Problem is no stairs in our house.
@gogrrl I got almost the exact same stuff, except my nose hair trimmer case was empty, and I got a pair of earrings. I gave the earrings to my wife.
In college I had to by an extra long slinky at the student book store to use for physics homework. This Slinky is one of the shorter models, and not particularly good for stairs. I haven’t experimented with it on the treadmill yet.

OMG! I was super excited to see the MEH box quietly and patiently waiting for me on my front porch. Upon lifting it, I noticed its heft and weight (9.8 lbs)! The excitement all around was palpable. I made a video call to a relative who had received a very disappointing IRK just yesterday and invited her to witness the reveal. Well, THANK YOU MEH!!! It was so much fun to unpack because the treats just kept coming! For those extra claw shoes you could always do a nice DIY garden/flower wall outside on a fence or wall! Built in drainage and they CAN be painted any color! I’d definetly do it IF I had a cprap load of claws!

Mine finally came. It was in a beat-to-hell box for a sharper image 20lb weighted blanket. Lo and behold it contained said blanket, and you guys, 20lbs is super heavy for a blanket. It’s hand wash only and lay flat to dry, so it’s not gonna get much use… I got 16 pixl trackers. I feel like I have a better chance of not losing something if I attach the blanket to it… I’ll see if any of my friends are interested in them, but I don’t typically lose stuff, so these aren’t gonna be super useful. I also got an ancient wall wart that might be less regrettable if I didn’t already have dozens of them. Overall pretty irksome, but the purple bag makes this a win.
Also, I found out that when you open the lipstick it has a built-in light… so you can get a REALLY good look at how well you’re putting it on. Just be careful not to flash the LEDs in your eyes
@Kidsandliz Yeah, I can only use that and the bag. Striiv is out of business so the fitness tracker can’t track anythiing. It can tell me the time and my heart rate but I have other things for that. I don’t have an iPhone 6+ and I don’t think I’d want something so big.

A robotic hard floor vacuum of a brand I don’t recognize (and cannot remember. I am at work right now). In a beat up box, but still seemed like it might be new. Seems like it works, but the navigation makes it VERY inefficient. Still a nice thing to see in there.

@OnionSoup That is just a filler size from their fedex machine. Most of the IRK I have received came in a huge box with only a few things thrown in with no packing. This box was about the size of a shoebox.
But have I also received a suitcase set and it showed that size. So you could get anything.
Nah, I’m happy about this. The socks came at a perfect time, my spouse is feeling pretty crummy and the socks were something I was able to surprise her with. She thinks I had them at the ready for just such a scenario. I did not correct her.

My son claimed the fitness tracker and I recently acquired a new blender, so there’s that. I got a purple Irk bag, a contour brush and some other type of makeup brush which were both claimed by my excited wife, and a car charger to go with the other 8 I bought during the St. Patrick’s Day Meh-rathon. No picture because the carcass was immediately picked over by family. 🥰
Well, it arrived a day early and my regret levels are at a solid “6.5.”
I received a pair of Aromasoles slipper/socks, a mystery necklace, another toothbrush coin and a Bluetooth speaker with a box was that was absolutely beat to $hit.
Shockingly enough, the speaker works fine and sounds surprisingly great. The worst part however… no IRK bag!!! I’m a bit crushed, I was so looking forward to that sweet, sweet IRK bag.

Very, very meh. So meh that there are not even any regrets. I expected to be disappointed by the lack of heft of the box. One wall charger. One 2000 mah battery covered in fuzzy material in the shape of a heart. 16 of those TrackR things that I’ve never considered purchasing since, yeah, carabiners exist. Purple bag. That’s it. I didn’t even get any packaged Texas air.

Everything arrived In a Cuisinart Ice Cream maker box. The kids were excited that they would get to make homemade ice cream. I knew better especially with the hack tape job on the box.
Inside was:

1 “Dream It” dietary supplement (ha ha) spray - 25 “doses” - it made a quick trip to the garbage can
1 Cuisinart base unit (the “motor”) for the Ice Cream Maker. No other parts included. No instructions. This was obviously a return that appears to have been sent back without at least 3 critical parts. Nice! The replacement parts cost more than a new unit. Thanks for nothing, meh.

Well, for once I’m hoping that my St. Paddy’s Day Irk was really full of crap, because it looks like I’m never going to get it. Stupid FedEx has had it in a facility 13 miles away since April 2nd. It says this on their site: “Shipment exception - Barcode label unreadable and replaced”
I called and was given the unhelpful advice to contact the shipper for a refund, but I’m bummed because now I’ll never know what I was going to get. Maybe nothing good, but maybe something amazing! FedEx sucks!
@Felton10 The facility it’s probably in says this on their website: “This location is not open to the public.” I guess I could check another location in that town that’s inside of a Walmart, but I bet they’d say they can’t do anything about it. My dealings with FedEx in the past, outside of Meh, haven’t been great either. Much as I dislike the way Amazon seems to be taking over the world, their deliveries are great, and they respond very well if things go wrong.
@Kyeh I think how you good your delivery re each option depends on where you live. All of our Fed Ex deliveries are by fedex truck-no post office involved. If it is shipped by Pitney Blowes-50-50 chance I will never see it. UPS-not enough info to say one way or the other. Only one minor hiccup with Fedex on the last IRK and that was only by a day off the projected delivery date.
@tinamarie1974 mine left Texas Friday at 1am. FedEx claims it’ll be to Baltimore Sunday. I’ve been surprised before, but never by FedEx, I’m guessing Tuesday at the earliest.

When I took out my phone to document it (don’t even know why, I never contact CS) there was a google photos “what you were doing this day last year” highlight and the picture was, you guessed it: an IRK box that had clearly been tampered with. OH, how I laughed!
Just received a shipping notice for my 3/17 IRK. I will either regret the purchase based on the early posters, or regret regretting it, given the later IRK posts here.
Mine was Scheduled to arrive yesterday (Saturday April 3). Watched, checked and hoped all day. When it got dark out I checked and it was switched to Pending. And still that today (Easter Sunday). I’m guessing it will go back to Scheduled tomorrow.
Now they are playing mind games with me or maybe Irving Texas has something to do with this. Said it left Irving’s house on 4/3 and was supposed to be delivered today. No update from that info. Guess I will have to look for my regret somewhere else.
@ybmuG And after giving everyone the best month of my life, I am shocked and disheartened. You have provided me with enough regret to replace the IRK I didn’t get today which is now listed as “Pending” for delivery. Will the pain ever stop?
My Irk is still 350 miles away even though last Friday Fedex said it would be delivered today! Fedex reports its only 1 lb. and the box is 17x13x11 in., which is an odd size for a 1 lb. box. The excitement is mounting!
It says shipping weight 1lb arrived today. I expect massive regret. Edit : what fresh hell is this. I goto try and edit. It asks me to Bing the selected…
My IRK was so regrettable, I already forgot what was in it. There was a bag, a 5V 1A USB wall charger, and some sort of plush battery thing I gave to the neighbors kid. There might have been another regrettable thing too.

This is the first IRK/fuku/boc that hasn’t been worth the purchase price to me. Other than the thrill of anticipation and mystery, of course.
Lately they are getting very cheap, they used to send pretty good stuff although some didn’t work, like these nice JBL wireless headphones that were very nice but they had a return sticker on the box and didn’t work, that was regrettable.
I am shocked TBH. I ordered something on Woot on 4/14/21 and got it on 4/15/21… Woah! USPS FTW. UPS recently applied a different label to a package of mine and delivered to a Business… They were like WTF do we need a Mighty Cart for? Drove round trip of 20 miles to just pick it up. The Company President actually called me, fired UPS and was hiring FedEx. I wanted to warn him… Just don’t Hire Pitney Bowes… LMAO. Sent a friend in NC something and he got it days before me from MEH. That’s rare. I live in South Texas.
This was the weakest IRK yet. The other two I received before it were also weak, where I donated everything to Goodwill. I didn’t even bother trying during the 4/15 zaggathon.

@eggsterminate Question-I got a Libratone mini portable speaker in a similar large grey tube that was in a sealed plastic bag. Given your picture showing the actual unit is smaller than the grey tube, were all the parts (charging cord) included in the tube.

@tinamarie1974 I missed it sorry-As far as the bubble wrap goes, at some point they are going to get tired of wrapping those indiv items for me, then watch out. My box was small but every nook and cranny was filled with things so they made an effort to stuff as much in the box as possible.
With a mark on my back such as I obviously have, they can make any example of me at any time and with two more IRKs coming-all bets are off. My wife was convinced this one was going to be regretful and I am glad the people at Meh proved her wrong.

@Kidsandliz @tinamarie1974 Yeh-it is definitely weird. After the last bubble wrap IRK which was definitely underwhelming, we expected the worst this time and were pleasantly surprised. Not only were there multiple good things in it, but the it was packed to the brim with stuff.
Don’t want to jinx my good luck, but maybe them knowing who the box is going to is not necessarily a bad thing. Time and the next two IRKs will tell.

@Felton10 @Lynnerizer @tinamarie1974 As there are 1000+ of them most of the time it is highly unlikely the majority of them are anything other than totally random. Meh does have a sense of humor and so on occasion I am sure someone at meh does single someone out for a joke, a specific item, etc. but that would be about it. Clearly the current bubble wrap caper is human directed, giving some entertainment value to many, but I would guess this is a fairly rare event.
@Kidsandliz @Lynnerizer Yes they definitely have a sense of humor. I remember the time I was picked to receive an entire box of goat food, salt lick, and goat grooming stuff (I think). I have good friends with goats so it turned out good for me but it did start an entire conversation and I think that was meh’s goal and it was accomplished.
Perhaps they sent me the box specifically because I was active in the forums and they wanted to give it to someone who would post pictures and start the discussion.
@cengland0 @Lynnerizer I came within inches (I had to decline when I got the call since I literally had no place to put a pallet of anything) of getting pallet of broken TV’s. What likely had prompted that was I had posted that I had bought 2 broken laptops for $25/each from the university’s sell our unwanted crap to the public warehouse and made one working one out of them. It only took me 3 tries, I went from 7 hours in one try down to 2.5 hours. When done I only had 2 screws left over too. LOL. Considering all I was doing was using logic when swapping out parts I got lucky. The person who they then sent the pallet to got several working TV’s out of it. Wish I had had the space to store the pallet.
@Kidsandliz I remember that TV situation but didn’t remember who was involved. I received one of those TVs myself on that same Fuko incident and the screen was broken. It was not economical to repair so I salvaged as many components as I could and thew out the rest. But, if I had a whole pallet of them, I would have attempted to swap out parts to make a couple working units out of them. Maybe one had a power supply issue that you could take the screen out of to put into another case that just needed a replacement screen.

Surprise of all surprised, mine actually ended up being delivered on Easter, and boy was it a regretful purchase.
My box was eerily similar to @n3uka, containing a pair of foundation samples, a fusion bio2, a camera attachment doober, an IRK bag and… a physically giant heart shaped but tiny capacity battery pack. Ew.

About 10 years ago my niece was a teenager and staying at the family cabin in Vermont. The cabin is old, hand built by her great great grandfather. They did have a phone installed way back in the 50’s/60’s and it still even had a party line, you could hear many people on the line, many conversations. The thing that was SO funny was that my niece couldn’t figure out HOW to use it or dial out, she’d NEVER seen a dial/rotory type telephone!

My girlfriend steals all my bubble wrap. Any time I get a package, she goes through it immediately and takes the bubble wrap. I’m not 100% sure what she does with it but she send a lot of packages to Puerto Rico and Boston but I also know that she uses the flat rate boxes and packs them so full that you can barely lift them. There wouldn’t be any room in those boxes for any light bubble wrap.
Whenever she travels, she packs her suitcases to the max and even goes over a couple pounds. You’re allowed a bag up to 50 pounds and we weigh it before she leaves and she removes stuff until it’s about 54 pounds and tries to sweet talk to airplane guys to accept it without any additional fees. She might pack the more fragile things in those suit cases with my bubble wrap.
I think she sends the heavy non-fragile items through the mail and the light fragile items through her luggage wrapped in the bubble wrap.
I would love it if meh sent me an entire roll of bubble wrap in my IRK even if there was nothing else in it.
@cengland0 @tinamarie1974 As TinaMarie and I have found out bubble wrap can be addictive and take over your life. I would monitor your girl friend’s activity with bubble wrap very closely as she sounds like she is well on the way to addiction.

@GenWithaG123 If you’re using a mobile device, it’s a bit tricky. If you hold your phone in the portrait mode, the icon to add an image doesn’t appear. You need to hold your phone horizontally (landscape) when you view the forums. When you do that, an image button will appear like this:

The Pulse Oximeter doesn’t work. It comes on but doesn’t sense anything. Can press the button to power on but doesn’t turn itself off. Instructions say goes into standby in 8 seconds so I think it’s broken. I’ll try taking it apart to see if I can fix it but I don’t have that much hope.
The bluetooth speaker doesn’t come on and looks like it was a customer return because it wasn’t sitting in the box properly. It does not come on but I’m hopeful it just requires a recharge. Charging now but it’s almost 11pm my time so I’ll have to wait until the morning before I’ll know for sure.
Update:
The Oximeter still doesn’t work. Although it was difficult to take apart, I finally got it to pieces and inspected it under the microscope. Everything looks soldered okay but there were slivers of metal stuck to the edge of the PCB that curved up and was touching the top of the board. Here’s a microscope shot of one of them but there were 3 in total. They could have shorted out something. I removed them and retested and still not working. Next step is to get the oscilloscope out of mothballs and see if I see any signals coming from the sensor.

The bluetooth speaker is still completely dead after a full night charge and will require me taking it apart. I don’t see any screws so I’ll have to work on it carefully in case I get it working that I don’t mess up the case too badly.

@Kidsandliz Thank you. I love my microscope and use it for all sorts of repairs. Even use it to get splinters out of fingers and other non electronic uses.
Here’s my microscope setup. That’s a 4k camera on top but I only have a 1080p monitor attached so I’m not getting the full resolution I could be getting.
I’m in the market for a cheap, possibly used, 4k monitor with HDMI input. Can be a small TV or computer monitor. Speakers don’t matter in this situation. I did test it using the 4k monitor from my computer and the resolution is impressive coming from that microscope so I’m hopeful that one day I’ll find what I’m looking for. I might visit a couple pawn shops in the area for a good deal on something used. I don’t use this every day so I want something real cheap.
Most monitors that are on sale are only 1080p or 1440p gaming monitors. I need 2160p and that’s what you get with all the TVs that are out there right now – except for the small ones. Weird I can get a 4k 55" TV for cheaper than I can get a 27" computer monitor. I really don’t care that it’s 165hz monitor. I only need 60hz for this purpose.

@Lynnerizer If you’re referring to the Oximeter, there’s always a high probability of me screwing something up. But then again, it was in the IRK so I suspect it was defective before I got it.
Mine takes 2 AAA batteries. The batteries tested good and were brand new.
Another update:
The bluetooth speaker was glued together. Once I figured that out, I was able to remove the grills and that exposed the screws.
If anyone is interested, this is what the speaker guts look like – pretty impressive.
Those batteries look like 18650 size but have 4 wires. Strange. They have similar voltages as a regular 18650 Lithium-Ion so I doubt those extra wires are for balancing. Maybe there is a temperature probe inside the package and using the yellow wires. I am detecting voltages on those yellow wires too.
When I tested the voltage on the batteries (after a full night of charging), I get slightly less than 3V which is the minimum cutoff discharge voltage I would use when creating a circuit. I am currently charging them manually with a professional battery charger external to the speaker. Will wait until the charge is done and then test the speaker again to see if it’s just the charging circuit or if the whole speaker is defective.
If a single battery goes below 3V in a Dewalt 20V pack, the entire pack stops working. You need to disassemble it and charge each cell up individually and balance them manually. That will revive the battery pack. I’m hopeful that this simple technique is all I need to revive this bluetooth speaker. We shall see.

Ahh ha, I gotchya! Are you a electrician of sorts or just a electrical hobbyist? My dads a retirerd self employed electrcian, he sold & repaired major appliances and TVs.
You brought back memories of my dad always tinkering with things, sometimes HE was the ONLY ONE who’d see anything wrong/broken with whatever it was he was so called “fixing”! Lol…
@Lynnerizer Not an electrician. I’m a retired banker. Spent the my last 27 years in banking and retired in 2017. However, I do have electronics training. That’s not to be confused with electricians though. Two different jobs. Electricians usually work on high voltage lines in your house and know the relevant electrical codes to run wires to your lights and appliances without burning down your house.
I had 3 years of electronics training from 1980 to 1982. That was when components were all through-hole and logic chips were all 74 series TTL or 40 series CMOS. Circuits rarely used processors or custom chips like devices use today.
It’s hard to fix things now because everything uses SMD (Surface Mounted Devices) and they are so small you can barely see them. To describe how small they are, maybe you see a black PC board on the red silicone mat in my microscope photo. That’s the board for my macbook pro that I’m fixing. I needed a small capacitor of 1nf. That capacitor’s size is called 0201 meaning it’s 2 millimeters long by 1 millimeter wide. That’s small. I had to order a quantity of 100 even though I only needed 1 and will need to wait over 60 days for it to come from China because there are no local Radio Shack’s that would sell this kind of item.
I put the bad capacitor in a small ziplock bag about 1" x 2" and you look at the bag thinking it’s empty because you cannot see anything in it. Without the microscope, repairs like that would be impossible.
The chips are all custom made for that device and, if they aren’t, the manufacture rubs off the numbers to make it impossible to reverse engineer or fix. Good luck getting a service manual or schematic. Back in the 70’s and 80’s every device came with an instruction book and a schematic at the back of the book. Companies wouldn’t dare do that today because they want you to throw away the device and buy a new one.
Latest update:
The batteries were way under voltage so I got them charged up to 4.1 volts after about 5 hours each (10 hours total). Batteries were rated for 2000 mAh but I was able to put 2317mAh in them.
Unfortunately even after installing charged batteries, the speaker still doesn’t work so it’s not just the charging circuit that is defective, it’s something else. Will take it apart to smaller pieces to see if I can visually see anything wrong but I’m starting to lose hope. Will have to wait until later though.
Got mine today and happy to say I don’t have any regret.

-A long string of Texas air! Which is kinda like giant bubble wrap, but more useful because you get more air per pop! Although I’m already in Texas and have plenty of air. But thanks Meh for providing some extra.
-A cheetah print “Waist Slimmer”! Not quite my thing, but I guess it might come in useful at some point. Maybe I could install it on my cat who seems determined to overgroom her belly.
-A wireless charging pad with build in alarm clock! Box was open and charging pad is a little dusty. Haven’t had a chance to see if it works.
-A set of Gel Gloves! I’m kinda excited to try these out. All the handwashing over the past year has left my hands dried out and red. Maybe these will help.
-Two (2!) Walking Dead coloring books nad a pack of 54 colored pencils! I’m not sure if coloring zombies and the accompanying post-apocalyptic wasteland will be relaxing or if maybe I could use this as training for a new career as an animation colorist. Either way, those will be put to good use.

You know, in case you are suddenly 20’ under water in a flood and don’t have scuba gear or in the middle of a volcanic eruption… Yeah I know no volcanoes in TX, but who knows the yellowstone one might blow up and TX might be covered in ash… you never know.

Your comment also made me realize that if Texas is ever evacuated for some reason, I could probably make good money selling “Texas air” to natives who are upset for having to resettle somewhere with inferior air. (I’ve met people who so much “Texas Pride” that they would probably pay a lot for “certified Texas air”. Texans can be weird.)

Mine arrived today. Not much in the box, but I’m happy to report that there were no TrackR pixels, iPhone cases, or useless chargers to be had. Of course, those may still be coming in future IRKs that I am awaiting.

Yes! It was my favorite item in the IRK. Brings back fond childhood memories. Definitely gives bubble wrap a run for its money. Seems you are set for life with bubble wrap, though.
@gogrrl It came with two other smaller toys (an etch-a-sketch and a simon)-all smaller than the original for $15 at Meh. Our daughter took the other two and left me with the slinky which is one I wanted anyway. Problem is no stairs in our house.
@gogrrl I got almost the exact same stuff, except my nose hair trimmer case was empty, and I got a pair of earrings. I gave the earrings to my wife.
In college I had to by an extra long slinky at the student book store to use for physics homework. This Slinky is one of the shorter models, and not particularly good for stairs. I haven’t experimented with it on the treadmill yet.
I was just at a thrift store over the weekend, but I didn’t think to bring the purse. It might be suitable as a donation.

You know…I never even opened the nose hair trimmer because…eww…nose hair. Anyway, once I read your comment, I went back and looked and guess what? THERE IS NO NOSE HAIR TRIMMER IN THE CASE.
OMG! I was super excited to see the MEH box quietly and patiently waiting for me on my front porch. Upon lifting it, I noticed its heft and weight (9.8 lbs)! The excitement all around was palpable. I made a video call to a relative who had received a very disappointing IRK just yesterday and invited her to witness the reveal. Well, THANK YOU MEH!!! It was so much fun to unpack because the treats just kept coming! In the past I have received broken items, but this time I received a green bag and 2 pair of sexy, Jessica Simpson tassely earrings to bring out my inner boho. Then I discovered 16, yes I said 16 trackr pixels, which I will affix to anything that moves. There was also a charging plug and …drumroll…a foot massager that works! My feet thank you.

I got… a LoveSac sectional section. Just one end piece. It… doesn’t seem particularly useful without another piece. But it is bulky!!

For those extra claw shoes you could always do a nice DIY garden/flower wall outside on a fence or wall! Built in drainage and they CAN be painted any color! I’d definetly do it IF I had a cprap load of claws!

Mine finally came. It was in a beat-to-hell box for a sharper image 20lb weighted blanket. Lo and behold it contained said blanket, and you guys, 20lbs is super heavy for a blanket. It’s hand wash only and lay flat to dry, so it’s not gonna get much use… I got 16 pixl trackers. I feel like I have a better chance of not losing something if I attach the blanket to it… I’ll see if any of my friends are interested in them, but I don’t typically lose stuff, so these aren’t gonna be super useful. I also got an ancient wall wart that might be less regrettable if I didn’t already have dozens of them. Overall pretty irksome, but the purple bag makes this a win.

Finally received my Irk here in Florida after it took a brief vacation in Georgia. While it was a pretty sparse Irk, my expectations were appropriately low. That said, while I did get the little paper string lights, my GF happens to love both owls and string lights, so this was just perfect! And I happened to need a new car USB adapter so it was another minor score.

@OnionSoup That is just a filler size from their fedex machine. Most of the IRK I have received came in a huge box with only a few things thrown in with no packing. This box was about the size of a shoebox.
But have I also received a suitcase set and it showed that size. So you could get anything.

Well, it arrived a day early and my regret levels are at a solid “6.5.”
I received a pair of Aromasoles slipper/socks, a mystery necklace, another toothbrush coin and a Bluetooth speaker with a box was that was absolutely beat to $hit.
Shockingly enough, the speaker works fine and sounds surprisingly great. The worst part however… no IRK bag!!! I’m a bit crushed, I was so looking forward to that sweet, sweet IRK bag.

Really skimpy this time: Green bag, a 5-pack of TrackR pixels, a battery case for an iPhone 6 Plus, and a three pack of mini LED lanterns.
Very, very meh. So meh that there are not even any regrets. I expected to be disappointed by the lack of heft of the box. One wall charger. One 2000 mah battery covered in fuzzy material in the shape of a heart. 16 of those TrackR things that I’ve never considered purchasing since, yeah, carabiners exist. Purple bag. That’s it. I didn’t even get any packaged Texas air.
I got mine in NJ yesterday:

March 17th IRK: tl;dr- It sucked.
Everything arrived In a Cuisinart Ice Cream maker box. The kids were excited that they would get to make homemade ice cream. I knew better especially with the hack tape job on the box.
Inside was:
1 orange Irk bag in crumpled up “I don’t give a shit” condition"
1 of those LED light switch things. It works!
1 “Dream It” dietary supplement (ha ha) spray - 25 “doses” - it made a quick trip to the garbage can
1 Cuisinart base unit (the “motor”) for the Ice Cream Maker. No other parts included. No instructions. This was obviously a return that appears to have been sent back without at least 3 critical parts. Nice! The replacement parts cost more than a new unit. Thanks for nothing, meh.
So, yeah, paid $5 for one LED light switch.

Weakest irk in a while, but i still have 2 processing, so I’m not going to give up hope yet. Was hoping for some VMP irk magic…not this time. Oh well.

Mr. Irving Texas is pilfering my IRK as we speak…
Well, for once I’m hoping that my St. Paddy’s Day Irk was really full of crap, because it looks like I’m never going to get it. Stupid FedEx has had it in a facility 13 miles away since April 2nd. It says this on their site: “Shipment exception - Barcode label unreadable and replaced”
Maybe nothing good, but maybe something amazing! FedEx sucks!
I called and was given the unhelpful advice to contact the shipper for a refund, but I’m bummed because now I’ll never know what I was going to get.

I’m happy to say that CS does NOT suck, and I got a fast kindly response from them.
@Kyeh You should ask them if you show up at their facility with the tracking number is there anyway they might be able to locate your box.
They probably only have a certain number of boxes who bar code is unreadable and if they look by name maybe all is not lost.
@Felton10 The facility it’s probably in says this on their website: “This location is not open to the public.” I guess I could check another location in that town that’s inside of a Walmart, but I bet they’d say they can’t do anything about it. My dealings with FedEx in the past, outside of Meh, haven’t been great either. Much as I dislike the way Amazon seems to be taking over the world, their deliveries are great, and they respond very well if things go wrong.
@Kyeh I think how you good your delivery re each option depends on where you live. All of our Fed Ex deliveries are by fedex truck-no post office involved. If it is shipped by Pitney Blowes-50-50 chance I will never see it. UPS-not enough info to say one way or the other. Only one minor hiccup with Fedex on the last IRK and that was only by a day off the projected delivery date.

@tinamarie1974 mine left Texas Friday at 1am. FedEx claims it’ll be to Baltimore Sunday. I’ve been surprised before, but never by FedEx, I’m guessing Tuesday at the earliest.

Today, I get home to find a larger than normal IRK Bag (box) on my porch. I think, “they sent me a whole new IRK instead of just the missing bag?!” Then I notice something written in sharpie on the bag, “FUKU RED 100.” I’m sure you see where this is going…
I open the box and written on the inside flap, “FUKU BAGS RED.” Inside the box I actually found:
-1 purple IRK bag (very cool, big purple fan here)
-1 XL Heated Jacket (powered by a USB powerbank)
-1 5-piece bamboo cooking utensils
-1 pair of AIR3 wireless earbuds (seem nice)
AND YES… I haven’t completed the official count yet, but what appears to be 100 RED FUKU BAGS.

I received a couple IRKs where the box was not sealed properly. Anything could have been removed before it reached me and I’d have no way of knowing.

OH, how I laughed!

Just received a shipping notice for my 3/17 IRK. I will either regret the purchase based on the early posters, or regret regretting it, given the later IRK posts here.

Mine was Scheduled to arrive yesterday (Saturday April 3). Watched, checked and hoped all day. When it got dark out I checked and it was switched to Pending. And still that today (Easter Sunday). I’m guessing it will go back to Scheduled tomorrow.

My IRK was supposed to be delivered today, but I checked tracking and now it shows delivery is pending. The regret is strong with this one.
My Irk is still 350 miles away even though last Friday Fedex said it would be delivered today! Fedex reports its only 1 lb. and the box is 17x13x11 in., which is an odd size for a 1 lb. box. The excitement is mounting!
It says shipping weight 1lb arrived today. I expect massive regret. Edit : what fresh hell is this. I goto try and edit. It asks me to Bing the selected…
My IRK was so regrettable, I already forgot what was in it. There was a bag, a 5V 1A USB wall charger, and some sort of plush battery thing I gave to the neighbors kid. There might have been another regrettable thing too.

I am shocked TBH. I ordered something on Woot on 4/14/21 and got it on 4/15/21… Woah! USPS FTW. UPS recently applied a different label to a package of mine and delivered to a Business… They were like WTF do we need a Mighty Cart for? Drove round trip of 20 miles to just pick it up. The Company President actually called me, fired UPS and was hiring FedEx. I wanted to warn him… Just don’t Hire Pitney Bowes… LMAO. Sent a friend in NC something and he got it days before me from MEH. That’s rare. I live in South Texas.
This was the weakest IRK yet. The other two I received before it were also weak, where I donated everything to Goodwill. I didn’t even bother trying during the 4/15 zaggathon.
