I went to a charity softball game a few weeks ago put on by Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz to raise money for his foundation. Seems most football players have no idea how to even properly hold a bat. The few that excelled were obviously multi-sport athletes. It started with a home run contest where the most homers were hit by the smallest guy out there, the kicker Jake Elliott. Goes to show, proper technique is more important than strength.
I’d take the Blues over the Raptors in a heartbeat. I can guarantee hockey players are better all around athletes.
I would love to see them in the World’s Cup, where the Raptors could not stopping handing the ball and the Blues can’t slide and jump at anyone close by.
If you have ever seen an NBA player throw out a first pitch at a baseball game (John Wall, Draymond Green, Paul Pierce, Joakim Noah, Metta World Peace, Zach Levine, Dirk Nowitzki etc) , you have to give the edge to the Blues.
It’s so weird that these are some of the greatest athletes in the world, but they typically throw like a 8 year old kid using his off-hand. I know its not every single NBAer, but its odd how prevalent the inability to throw is. I get the possibility is they “never played baseball”, but its like these these guys never even threw a rock at tin can when they were kids. (Or for that matter, even ever learned to throw a “baseball pass” in basketball. )
Finally, some hockey acknowledgement by the Meh poll writer.
@lljk how hooky
Always the Blues. Long Live the Note!!
It’s almost like you’re daring us to pick that answer choice…
Ok. I’ll do it.
Blaptors!

The Blues would be the first to score a touchdown.
@Ignorant Also known as a “hat trick” if the celebratory dance features the Fedora Michael Jackson wore in Smooth Criminal.
@Ignorant @PocketBrain Forget about football, how about rugby?
I know, it´s the same game, but on dirt.

Don’t mess with my meager sports knowledge - I just found out that The Toronto Raptors is a basketball team.
