@Lynnerizer That’s awesome! I’ve never had to become sober because I’ve never enjoyed alcohol (guess that makes me a Teetotaler), but I’ve seen and understand the cycle of addiction, so congrats on all your efforts and hard work!

hot toddies are ok? like if someone handed me one i’d drink it so as not to be rude…but i really don’t care for warm alcohol. rather have tea or hot chocolate (the latter made with milk, please). occasionally chai.
(ps, you can still get a perfectly sufficient booze blanket going drinking whiskey on the rocks, or dirty martinis, or old fashioneds, or vodka sodas, or doing even one shot of tequila just ask me one night in winter when i’m standing outside a bar with no coat.)
I’m a teetotaler because wacky tobaccy is my go-to chiller-outer, but even if I drank, I’d not opt for warm booze. Although, some Bailey’s in sweet and creamy coffee sounds delicious. Other than that, ew to warm booze.
I like to keep my traditional soft drinks and booze separate for the most part. Stuff like hot chocolate, coffee, eggnog, cider, etc. I usually prefer no booze added. I can do soda + booze, but that’s about it.
For the most part, the warmest alcoholic drinks for me are at room temperature, be it whisky or tequila or rum or brandy or even vodka (though I rarely drink vodka neat unless the bottle has been living in the freezer). I’ll occasionally have a coffee or tea drink with a shot or three of something alcoholic but the outdoor temperature has little to do with this.
All year round I stick with my frozen orange juice, been living sober for 29 years now!
…and besides, i’m hot enough!!

Bourbon cider
This time of year I really prefer a cold eggnog with enough bourbon or Scotch to seriously warm me up.
Same as always. Laphroaig single malt scotch at room temp with a splash of water.
kahlua cappuccino
A shot of room temperature whiskey followed by a shot of fireball whiskey chased with a shot of room temperature whiskey.
Hot coffee with Bushmills and Baileys
Cold-brewed coffee with Bailey’s, Kahlua and peanut-butter whiskey.
Bailey’s and coffee. And yes, I want whipped cream on that!
Mulled wine, or hot cider with Calvados or bourbon.
Raspberry chocolate double mocha.
Spiked cider, or just a nice whiskey will do.
Aldi had two different gluhwein flavors; they are supposed to be served at 140 degrees (F). We will be trying that some cold night.
