@carl669 …think it was 66 or 67 degrees today so🤭course any kind of weather you want, I think we have it here in Texas…floods, earthquakes (thankfully not big ones) snow and freezing temperatures…Thankfully, not minus degree temperatures --that’s why I live in the south, as I like warm weather not deep freeze weather …hope you guys stay safe in all that frigid weather…
@AttyVette
It kills off all the nastier cold blooded creatures aside from mosquitos; unfortunately those little bastards have figured out how to burrow into trees and siding to protect themselves and their eggs are safe in swamp water somehow.
Anyway you can always put on more clothes and there’s always seat heaters!
@f00l You see that 42 43? Right over Tulsa? My sister in Orlando called so I was able to tell my hot water frozen pipe story…she used to live in Houston and had some cold weather stories from there.
@therealjrn our shower froze on Friday night. Pipe didn’t burst. Hope your story ended without a busted pipe. We have a big hole in the drywall in the bathroom with a cold draft from outside blowing into the bathroom.
James Loughlin, of Austin, Tex., took a walk up the Mount Washington Auto Road at around 3,900 feet during a break in a SnowCoach tour in Gorham, N.H., on Friday.

GORHAM, N.H. — The moment you step out into the frozen air on the way up Mount Washington — one of the most frigid spots in the lower 48 — the icy wind steals your breath and freezes your eyelashes. You can’t blink. The cold stabs your face and numbs your earlobes to rubber.
“It’s an icy hell,” said Amy Loughlin, 50, who was visiting from Austin, Tex., and scaling the mountain, the highest in the Northeast, in the back of a SnowCoach — a van retrofitted with tanklike treads to handle the blowing snow and treacherous roads.
With much of the Northeast and Midwest feeling like a block of ice, the temperature here in the high peaks of New Hampshire’s White Mountains was forecast to drop to 40 degrees below zero overnight Friday. The wind chill could make the air feel as cold as 100 below zero. That is not a typo. Negative. 100.
@carl669 Didn’t it almost feel like summer yesterday? I couldn’t believe how warm 20 could feel! Today, back to winter with the snow and ice. Fuck Chicago.
Perfect weather to open up your fridge to get some heat in your home.
@Targaryen amen to that! it’s supposed to be 25 tomorrow and i’m ecstatic!

@therealjrn the fuck I do say. at least it got up to a whopping +10 today.
Aw, what a great picture.
@lordbowen well thank you!
So, missing Washington yet?
You look happy.
@KDemo i love the snow out here. just not the eyeball freezing temperatures.
Damnit @carl669 what a keeper. She’s cute as fuck, too.
@carl669 it’s -18 right now. How are you doing? Keeping warm?
@sohmageek
Glad your fingers are unfrozen at least.
@sohmageek trying to. i’ve heard booze helps keep you warm.
Everyone made it through the night with all the fingers and toes intact?
Do you still have feeling in all the extremities?
@f00l You see that
4243? Right over Tulsa? My sister in Orlando called so I was able to tell my hot water frozen pipe story…she used to live in Houston and had some cold weather stories from there.But dammit, I’m done with cold weather now.
@f00l We set a new record low- minus 3. Our previous record was positive 10.
@sammydog01
Bad, huh?
Poor @sohmageek and @jbartus and others from NE.
Hey, @sohmageek, how far are you from Mt Washington?
@f00l about 147 miles driving by google maps

@sohmageek
Ouch! Re pipes.
Re Mt Washington

@f00l about 90 miles.
@sohmageek
Hardly even a walk in an icy park then.

@f00l @sohmageek and I are almost equidistant from Mount Washington, I’m 152 miles away.

@pitamuffin it’s still 25 out though. so much better than the fucking -27 i woke up to the other day.
@pitamuffin When I worked (outside, including sleeping outside some of the time) where it was a -30 to -60 on a regular basis that made -5 feel warm.
yeah.that is something that i felt like eventhough it is meditative, it speaks volume about all those current sensation.
@lytong what is your favorite sensation?
Meh cookies?
@lytong say what now?
