Experiment is a success already since ppl still buying at this price. I hate to say it but I think this marks the end of the $5 IRKS. Next Meh-rathon the irk will be $10-15 most likely. Well, maybe it’s time to cancel my membership. Sad day.
@katsuronishi I think as a first time experiment, one time thing, people will likely try to get one at more expensive pricing. If they actually implement higher IRKs in the future as the norm, I don’t think it’ll catch on
It’s a commitment test. But I’m not sure whether it’s a test of your personal commitment to getting an IRk at any (initial) cost, your commitment to spending even more with meh and Side Deal later, or your suitability for commitment.
I’m definitely interested in the experiment and whether any people end up buying one of every offering. I just don’t know that I’d be able to use that many coupons so I’ll likely only get one extra, if any.
I stopped at $25, 30 is just too much. I’m really hoping they start back over at $5 soon and keep cycling throughout the day… there’s no way they can continue to go higher and people actually buy them…
@Deri143@phelmurh So, a test to destruction on “How high are these people, anyway?” Perhaps someone can run a correlation on the map comparing frequency distribution shifts versus weed availability…
I got one…hell of a story to tell. No IRK again . I may just have to live the rest of my life knowing I’ve been able to get fuku bags in the past and I’ll never get another.
@steelopus More importantly… the streak lives on! I’ve lost count… probably close to 30 in a row at this point. I should probably start spending this money on therapy instead.
@PHRoG I’m at 35 total and I think 29 in a row. My last miss was probably a May 2020 Mehrathon, but have every one since then.
I definitely haven’t scored $145 worth of goods in that time… but this is basically the only type of lottery I partake in, so I’m still good with the fun of it.
@PHRoG@steelopus So I tried that and it doesn’t get the count or that top black bar you are showing. Did you do anything special to get to that page? I clicked on an irk I bought in the past and nothing like that came up, just the irk I had “won”.
@Kidsandliz when on the order page use the browser’s find/search function that allows you to search for keywords on the page. Then just type in “instant regret kit” and it will provide a count of all the occurrences aka all your IRK orders.
The screenshot I posted is using Chrome mobile on Android. It’s in the main menu then find.
If on a desktop most browser’s pull it up with just ctrl-f.
These are getting pretty darn expensive AND they’re saying that they aren’t going to be any better or different than the $5.00 IRKS! What to do, what to do…
Thoughts…
At $30, it would be like Meh was paying for VMP for the rest of the year as long as I used the code once a month so this would personally be the most I would spend on today’s deal (although I would be willing for pay 5 dollars just to get an IRK bag alone; can never get a regular IRK in time anyway).
It saddens me to see I haven’t bought anything from Meh this year which has never happened before. However I do tend to find something on Side Deal or Morningsave (how come they aren’t part of today’s offer?) so in addition to multiple Meh deals in the past(still loving the battery charger mini fans) I am well in the plus column with my VMP membership. So for now I’m sitting back and watching the comments as the price for the IRKs increase. Priceless entertainment.
Been wondering why I keep the VMP. Today’s frustration reminded me to cancel
Fuck, I forgot to check again.
I think I could have, but I already had the $25, and really don’t think I could use 11 coupons!
/giphy nope
I quit! I’ll just wait & buy stuff I actually like when they have it.
Another stupid idea… Same result…sold out. Meh you suck. Goodbye

@katsuronishi
I hear ya…
“Oh God, what did I just do” is right! Why did I buy a second one?
/giphy moving-sturdy-mole
@eric1024 a second one? It will likely be cancelled, as we are only allowed ro purchase one a day
@eric1024 I stopped at 2. I at least only spent $20 in total for mine.
@tinamarie1974 Not today!
“In the spirit of experimentation, you can still buy this IRK even if you bought one earlier (but why would you?)”
@eric1024 @tinamarie1974 They have on the page you can buy what you want today…it’s an experiment…
@eric1024 @tinamarie1974 Not this time. It specifically says you can buy multiples. Especially if the price is just going to climb each time.
@eric1024 @tinamarie1974 Not today. Read the description. You can buy as many as you want “but why would you want to?”…
@tinamarie1974 Read the write-up a little more closely
@eric1024 @tinamarie1974 no it specifically says you can buy more than one today.I can’t buy even one but others can get multiples …
@AttyVette @eric1024 wait, you mean I am SUPPOSE to read too!?!?!? Sorry, I didnt read the rules today folks
I don’t buy that much stuff to warrant 6 $5 coupon codes. Too rich for my blood. How high they going to go?
It’s a commitment test. But I’m not sure whether it’s a test of your personal commitment to getting an IRk at any (initial) cost, your commitment to spending even more with meh and Side Deal later, or your suitability for commitment.
@werehatrack I think it is a test about whether or not you should be committed.
And we keep climbing!
/giphy wiggly-fluent-apple
Whelp, that was as high as I was willing to go. No IRK for me.
@joneswa You’ll be back @ $35, they always come back
Me: I canceled my VMP to save money.
Also me: yeah, I’ll spend $30 plus shipping on an IRK!
But I didn’t get it… guess we’ll see how high this goes!
interesting. It’s like watching the collapse of capitalism. (for the record, I drew my line at $25 and I’m just along for the ride at this point)
I’m definitely interested in the experiment and whether any people end up buying one of every offering. I just don’t know that I’d be able to use that many coupons so I’ll likely only get one extra, if any.

C’mon $100 fuko bags!
/giphy athletic-excitedly-cheddar
10 seconds of redirection, 1 second to click buy, 5 seconds of processing, sold out.
I can’t believe people are paying this much. I get the equivalency in coupons, but still! Fun experiment!
How high will you go…
@Lynnerizer I guess it depends on which dispensary you patronize.
@werehatrack
So… yeah…. Too rich for my blood. I see you’re seeing how many suckers are around. More power to ya, I suppose.
Hoping for some interesting products around the holidays… because I’m now the proud owner of six $5 coupons (and a bunch of other regret).

@steelopus More importantly… the streak lives on! I’ve lost count… probably close to 30 in a row at this point. I should probably start spending this money on therapy instead.
@steelopus You can easily see how many across all sites by going to checkout.org, viewing your orders and using find to count.
Apparently, I too, need help!
@PHRoG I’m at 35 total and I think 29 in a row. My last miss was probably a May 2020 Mehrathon, but have every one since then.

@steelopus same. Although, I’ve definitely got much more ROI than the $210 I’ve spent over the years!

Same story except this time green loading line scrolled through four times then got sold out message.
…what did I just do?
/giphy accessible-pushy-pollution
Grabbed one at $30 - no idea why. I think I am tapping out (except to accumulate more Meh clicks)
These are getting pretty darn expensive AND they’re saying that they aren’t going to be any better or different than the $5.00 IRKS! What to do, what to do…

Could’ve got one at $25 but passed
I had it and lost it when it ran the final process!!!

Mrrow? Mrrow? [headbutt][pawflexes] Mrrow?
$30 is already to much.
You folks do realize if you give Meh $5 for each of those coupons, they aren’t really $5 coupons, right?
It’s really just a gimmick to force (very strongly encourage?) you to buy things here for the rest of the year.
(You could simply tell yourself you’re going to spend $5 x the number of coupons here through the rest of the year.)
@RedOak
True, though if they’re spent on $5 purchases on SideDeal…
Foiled by the “are you a robot” warning, and the idiotic recaptcha not loading. Man, I hate recaptchas.
