OBTW, some H+B stuff has now been spotted at Lowe’s. It looked every bit as high-class as the Tactless Pen Multifool.

@ExtraMedium Look more closely. This is a different abomination. It doesn’t have a Phillips screwdriver bit that falls out, or a completely useless leaking-battery compartment disguised as a “flashlight”.

How is it supposed to be a fire starter? Are you using the screwdriver as a striker?
@Star2236 I’m guessing that the thing that looks like a round cylindrical rod sticking out of the back end of the ballpoint pen is magnesium, and you would use an edge on the screwdriver to peel off shavings and then strike a spark.

No that’s the pen cartridge, it says it comes with 3 of them. Not like I’m gonna buy it anyway, I just didn’t get it from the pic.

My bad.
The slightly frustrating part is that although it isn’t worth $20 to me, I’d have been a lot more interested in this multitool had the H+B version not been so very, very Meh. Now, the initial reaction to anything resembling the prior type automatically becomes “Oh, crap, another POS like that other one?”
