If you live in NYC, are female and haven't had cancer, Sloan Cancer Center needs you.
15There is a study taking place at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center trying to further understand chemo brain in breast cancer patients (and thus in other kinds of cancer patients who have this problem as well). They need people who live in NYC who are willing to go, in person, a couple of times for this paper and pencil study.
The study requires traveling to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (which, by the way, is one of the top comprehensive cancer centers in the country. If you ever get cancer and live in the NYC area, go there. You are lucky to have a place close by. I have to travel 450 miles to MD Anderson Cancer center to be seen by a top center).
See https://www.armyofwomen.org/studies/72102#study-rsvp for more information. The Army of Woman is one of the major breast cancer organizations out there. They assist researchers by advertising studies (they screen them before the post them) to help the researchers find subjects.
As someone who has had breast cancer on both sides and now follicular non-hodgkin’s lymphoma and suffered from chemo brain (which, for decades the medical community denied this was “real” and have only recently changed their tune), it would be helpful if those of you who live in NYC can help these researchers out.
Feel free to pass this on.

Just a bump to keep this up near the top for a while longer because unlike 98% of the threads around here, this one should be seen by as many as possible.
@nolrak Thanks.
Memorial Sloan Kettering is an amazing place. My son gets treatment there and the pediatric oncologist and staff are the kindest and most thoughtful people I’ve come across.
@chloeensiki Hope your son is doing OK.
@Kidsandliz thank you
I am only one of those, but I approve of this topic.
@Durago I am sad that I am also disqualified
