I know I am likely the only idiot left on VMP… but with my recent experiences over the last 9 years I have updated the features card for the website… meh, feel free to use it gratis!
Let’s see, it says I’ve been VMP “since July 2014” so that’s 93 months counting this month, times $5 a month… I’m $465 into this experiment, may as well hold out at least until I hit $500 in October just in case there’s some kind of trophy.
I keep telling myself fuku bags will pop up one day, no one will know what the heck is going on, and I’ll be able to spend five bucks and get one. Guess I’ll check back in again tomorrow. And again the next day. And… Le sigh
@Cerridwyn Members get free shipping on casemates. That was supposed to be only for VMPs and Kickstarters of casemates Grumble, grumble. The biggest perk of me continuing my VMP. Then it became known that members got shipping too, pissed me right the fuck off, but I have given up on the subject.
At least they have sent me about 15 bottles of wine to labrat over the years. But that seems to be from my relationship and purchases with Wine Country Connect, and medicore labs or whatever couldn’t care less about VMPs.
Still VMP here. Almost bought something this year during the Mehrathon with those Kenwood earbuds and the cheapo ones so I can [finally] get an IRK. Counting this site, Sidedeal, and Morningsave, I bought three things last year. Even if I didn’t buy anything in 2023, I will probably come out ahead with my past spending.
@chienfou Yes, VMPs still get a discount and free shipping on the other sites. Also, if you ask nicely, they’ll give you the VMP discount at the Morningsave brick and mortar store.

Not sure where that is coming from. The (actual) page clearly says discount with a coupon and gives the coupon code. (That’s what the first thing scribbled out above is)
As I suspected, VMP has saved me enough money to last another 2 years and 1 month based on all my purchases across Meh, Morningsave, and SideDeal. This includes orders where I ordered more than one item at a time, but does not includes times where I used a 10-20% code at Morningsave/Side Deal … and the free socks … and the free light up micro USB cord.
This also includes my very first IRK which, as of this post, is two counties away. So yeah, I don’t see myself canceling my VMP membership any time soon.

im still around, vmp since 2014, new irk method of spend 50 to get it has definitely had me evaluating that though, while i have made decent amount of purchases, forcing me to buy during a mehathone has taken the fun out of it. meh well see how much longer i hang on.
Even if only 10% of them weren’t refunded (willing to bet it’s likely higher due to IRK popularity), they’re making the same amount as they did with the old $5 price: 1300 * $5 = $6500 Vs. 1300 * $50 * .10 = $6500)…plus any extra from the increased 'thon sales.
At 20%, it’s double what they were making before…I’d totally believe it’s even higher than that too.
I really don’t see them changing it back anytime soon.
