I miss deals.woot
18I miss having the deals.woot site where folks could upvote/downvote on deals posted by users. It was a fun site and loved the weird themes that would pop up, but I especially miss using it to find deals during the holidays. Slickdeals is ok, but it’s not the same.

Aww man…I miss deals.woot too! Deal Hunter competition, secret Walmart parking lot Q meetings, the crab wave, the OG Wootizen Exchange, jumbowoot coupons…the list goes on!

@shawn Ha! Yea, most of the time it was just me standing there awkwardly. Occassionally this creepy drifter dude would be there and he wouldnt even question it, he would stand there right beside me…waiting for the private jet to arrive.
I still never got a ride in the private jet. Unless of course you refer to that balllin’ 25 cent spaceship ride.

@shawn @studerc I got one ride on the company jet. I had to get myself to the airport where the jet was parked. It was a long ways from my house (as in, three states away), so I ended up buying a ticket to fly to the jet, then I got to ride two states away, and then I got told that I couldn’t get a ride back because there was some kind of problem and they were headed out for a mad dash for fresh octopi. It was not the greatest ending for my one-time private jet adventure.
@dashcloud @studerc I quit my stupid farm game yesterday, and the community that was there (the community was great but the game became tedious) so I’ll be here yacking a lot more.

@rtjhnstn No, it was great. Users posted deals from any website. They could expire their own deals or vote to expire other deals. We could upvote good deals downvote bad deals (spam). We could comment on a specific deal.
Why would users go to all this work you ask? For fake internet points, I answer.

Maybe one day we can get a deals.meh started. Something a little more polished than scrolling through the forums.
