@kittykat9180 if you don’t have one already, I would suggest a crystal nail file. They can be washed and disinfected.
I used to carry a regular emery board nail file in my wallet and if one of my coworkers needed to borrow it, I would just give it to them because there’s so many germs under nails and those boards are impossible to clean.
I personally like the NailTek files because they come in a little protective case. They basically last forever.

Not to mention they make the smoothest nail edge. My nails would peel with regular files.

I used to trim mine at work but since I’m working from home it happens a lot less often.

When my son was a baby, I had to do his nails about every 2-3 days. They still grow crazy fast.
What nails?
(I’m a lifelong nail biter, sadly)
They break faster than anything. So fairly rarely, unless I’m trying to even them out or clip after a tear. My finger nails suck.
When they need it. If I keep polish on them, I will usually do a little filing during a nail polish change.
Otherwise I’ll trim them if one breaks.
The fingernails a lot more often than the toenails. Should have been an option.
