For as long as I can keep the cat out of the sink who is eyeballing the faucet believing it is a drinking fountain and I am there strictly to turn it on for her.
My fancy electric toothbrush does it for me. It hesitates slightly every 30 seconds. You are supposed to brush one quadrant for 30 seconds. That’s outside lower left. Then inside lower left. Outside upper left. Inside upper left. So that is two minutes on the left and two minutes on the right. That’s a long time. And the brush lights up if you push too hard.
I was reading a review of the brush. Some guy, who apparently knew so much that he didn’t read the directions in the piece of paper that came with his expensive brush, complained loudly that something was wrong with the dang thing. He said it was no good 'cause it kept stopping and starting every so often. Well…duh?
Now if you don’t brush or floss then the time it will take to brush whatever teeth you have left will become progressively shorter as you age.
So brush (and floss) only the ones you want to keep.
Well … since I don’t have any REAL ONES to brush, I don’t!! Just soak my dentures, use a denture brush on 'em while rinsing them off, then apply denture glue as needed.
Ever since my great-heist toothbrush from Meh, I’ve had toothbrushes that timed two minutes for me.
My current toothbrush is also a Meh toothbrush I got in an IRK. If it wern’t for Meh, I’d still be using old-fashioned, non-electric, luddite toothbrushes that didn’t have a timer.
I used to use this podcast called “Chompers” when brushing with my kids. It’s actually a pretty good way to handle it, just distracting enough so you can still do the task without the boredom setting in.
I just stop when my teeth feel clean.

@Kidsandliz How is she wrong?
I don’t do “toothbrushing.” I do TEETHbrushing. Do you think I’m from Louisiana? I brush BOTH of my teeth!
@tweezak Yep, I brush both my hairs with a hairbrush.
@hchavers @tweezak Too bad you don’t have 3 hairs. Then you could grow them long and braid them.
I’m supposed to time it?
I brush until I feel like I’ve brushed long enough.
Until my ADHD…
Wait, what?
@2many2no Attention Deficit Hey Donuts!
Is this a trick question? When I am done.

@Jackinga That coulda been me, but I didn’t bother to write a review.

I only get new toothbrushes from Meh these days.
Brush until some kid calls needing something. That’s usually about right.
With a timer.
@yakkoTDI 555?
