@tkuj
Hey there-
Check over on MorningSave-
They have some flannel and some percale sheets-
They aren’t the exact same as the flannel I just got about a week ago but the ones I got are great-
@tkuj@akapl2002
So you don’t actually have the ones they’re selling on Morningsave? Because I bought some flannel sheets from Overstock last year that are really pretty, but the first time I washed them they pilled like crazy.
Oh c’mon! These comments show me how unappreciative Meh customers truly are. I’ve paid much more for decent tarps to cover furniture and floors when I’m painting a room. Granted, those tarps are probably much more comfortable than these…
@Chickenbox@werehatrack The nonpolar plastic fibers won’t wick sweat away from your body fast enough to keep you comfortable, so it seems like they might work as effective drop-cloths for water based paints. Alas, they will let just enough paint through to destroy a couch if the paint splatters have more than a minute or two to soak through. Obviously, an oil based paint will zoom through the sheets effortlessly.
@hamjudo@werehatrack Fair enough, but they’re certainly adequate enough to cover my bushes when I paint my house and the pillow cases are perfect for small shrubs and flower pots. Always look on the bright side is what I say, unless I slept a night wrapped in these sheets and my sweat. Then I’d be pretty cranky. OTOH, these sheets might prove to be just enough of a deterrent to keep me from waking up next to my lab every morning – unless the wife and I ended up crawling into his bed which is flannel.
@phendrick Wow a lot of un-fcking going on there. I’ve bought from Humble Bundle for years and they are reputable. Might even benefit from this material.
I was going to buy two sets, but the colors I want aren’t available… I was going to get B*&%#y and buy them somewhere else. Now I’m not buying them anywhere. I’ll wait until next time for better available colors.
@whogots for some reason I saw the term deplorable instead of dependable. Not sure why that was in my head. Now I think it’s because I saw the Hillary Clinton giphy a few posts above. Reminded me of the notorious “basket of deplorables” comment. Not that it was incorrect…
@rob55431 Umm, yes, microfiber is polyester. Every time that Meh lists another set of microfiber sheets, there are howls of indignation over here in the forum. I don’t think that any sheets sold here have been cotton for the couple of years that I’ve been hanging out on the forums, and probably longer. We also get annoyed by the “bamboo” sheets that are actually rayon, usually disguised behind the term “viscose”.
Every time it’s microfiber petrochemical sheets. And every time we scream for cotton and more plastic is the answer.
@craigcush
Very well-received (by us customers), but still an underrated comment.
@craigcush Yeah the fact that these kind of sheets continuously show up on Meh reinforces the fact that nobody wants these.
@craigcush
@craigcush
Over on MorningSave they had some really nice flannel sheets for cheap—that was about a week ago-
How about cotton or flannel???
@tkuj
not tonight

Who can sleep in microfiber sheets? It’s like trying to sleep wrapped in used plastic shopping bags.
@CptPicard Even worse, it’s like trying to sleep in unused plastic shopping bags.
@brennyn @CptPicard …that are evil and plan to take you hostage while you sleep.
Ew, yuck, plastic sheets again. Sell some cotton ones and I’ll buy them.

@Chickenbox And useful.

Harry Potter house-elf jokes in 3…2…1…
@PooltoyWolf Master gave Dobby a right rumble in the sheets.
@PooltoyWolf Dobby would give these sheets back.
@PooltoyWolf Master left a wet sock for Dobby!
I think this stuff comes from the My Pillow guy.
@gertiestn Do the sheets come in treason weasel yellow?
@gertiestn his crap is Giza Dream. Meh it’s better than that.
@gertiestn The MehPillow guy!
Terminator? TERMINATOR??
Time to turn in your nerd card, meh. We’ll also be turning your umbrella inside out and punching a hole through your hat.
This rant will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
@spavlis The designer of the Bladerunner shirt needs to rewatch the movie, then fix the text.
COT-TON! It’s not rocket surgery! If I wanted to sleep in a baggie…
Microfaker. You can do better.
I’ll only buy them if the rock-climbing (sheet-climbing?) guy is included. Or maybe he’s sold separately.
@lisagd You want a little Ken-doll sized climber?
@Kyeh No, I want the full-size version. And no smooth area either.
@Kyeh @lisagd Oh my
@Kyeh
@lisagd Well, I’d make an exception and buy these polyester sheets too if they came with one of those.
@Kyeh Are you listening, Meh people?
Even a New York hotel can do better than these.
@werehatrack you want to avoid the ones where they put the body bag in the room “just in case.”
@replicacobra
My sheets are plastic
I keep saying please no more
But they never stop
I had a house elf
but he would not tolerate
polyester socks
I love these. I use them in a guest bedroom. No one stays too long.
Pima Cotton Percale. Anything else is unfit for human consumption.
@carl669
I think they’re targeting you:
https://www.humblebundle.com/books/unfck-holidays-microcosm-books
And trying to mess with your count.
(But they are some potential winners in there.)

@phendrick
they areNo, there are.
[I had written “they’re” then decided to ditch the contraction. Wuz that a f’k or an unf’k?]
I was going to buy two sets, but the colors I want aren’t available… I was going to get B*&%#y and buy them somewhere else. Now I’m not buying them anywhere. I’ll wait until next time for better available colors.
Also, in!

How embarrassing for a once dependable brand.
