@ellett@Lynnerizer the deals they have had here (not on this brand) sometimes came with extra new filter which was a nice bonus. The downside is that often made the brand was discontinued, but it seems there are aftermarket models for almost anything. Or most can be “hacked” to make something that works…. Like a square filter!

I’d love to find something that I could hack to fit my Happi KJ 500 air purifier I got in my IRK! It’s the best but at $50 a shot for the filters I’m liking it a little less every 3-4 months!
Air filters are one of those products that I almost wish only a few models existed to cover each kind of requirement, or that they would all agree to a set of universal replacement filters for them, like how bulbs all fit the same sockets.
I have several round-form cleaners of similar size and all seem to be good. One thing I like about this one is the strap. I do move the other units around from time to time, or take one into an RV. They are cumbersome to grab and carry. The strap would be very handy.
@Kyeh@pmarin Yes. We call it DriveBox. It has a stick shift. I bought it from a friend when circumstances dictated that he could no longer drive it. (This acquisition is one of the few things that has gone right for me in the past 14 months, but I really wish my friend hadn’t needed to sell it. He misses it.)
@Kyeh@werehatrack My friend had a Scion but I don’t think it was that one — the “boxy” one. It was a 4-Dr hatchback; 5-speed manual geared way too low, but was a fun car. I and other friends that frequently borrowed it liked it a lot, for want it was.
On the boxy style, I remember being in Japan in 1990s; the style was very common. Essentially a minivan that was not as big and stupid-looking as our minivans of the time. Much more practical. The local Japanese office guys had one (maybe bigger than an xB). On a weekend they took us up on a tourist trip to Nikko with famous temples and a lake; lots of good tourist stuff, it was comfortable. they stopped at a mini-mart to buy small cans of sake for our ride.

Good old Home Dics.
@yakkoTDI I think it is supposed to be Ho Medics.
@yakkoTDI Shut up you!
@yakkoTDI You make a great one-man comedy duo.
@rockblossom @yakkoTDI
You mean Ho Me Dics?
So the air purifier is $40. Amazon sells the replacement filter for… you guessed it, almost $40. Might as well just buy some extra air purifiers!
@ellett
Just what I came looking to find out. Thanks!

Where the heck is everyone today? Were you all too busy watching fireworks last night…

@Lynnerizer 8am EDT and only 3 comments. Maybe everyone was hit by the “random celebratory gunfire” that seems to be the norm these days.
@hugacrv

World wide drive-by.
…or something!
@hugacrv @Lynnerizer
High threes for a great fireworks show!
An Air Puifier that also puts out essential oils? Isn’t that like getting a dehumidifier with a cool mist humidifier?

@pmarin Good point. I also wish paper shredders had handles somewhere. Small details that would make things easier & better.
@Kyeh @pmarin My Scion xB would be even easier to park if it folded compactly and had a convenient carry handle. Why didn’t they think of that?
@pmarin @werehatrack Do you really own one of those?
@Kyeh @pmarin Yes. We call it DriveBox. It has a stick shift. I bought it from a friend when circumstances dictated that he could no longer drive it. @pmarin @werehatrack Apologies, but I think that’s the ugliest car!
Glad you like it though.

Shame they don’t make “AI” purifiers to get rid of their stank slop.
@DrunkCat Is your stank slop why they left you?
@yakkoTDI lol okay mr. “incorrect fact”. bot some more
