I’m assuming the box won’t be filled with returned, damaged or otherwise unwanted items, which to me makes it a better bet than a Fuko, even at 15 x the price.
The fact that a portion goes to charity means that even if I put the box in the closet with all my other BoC, Fuko and Irk unwanted junk, it still won’t have been a complete waste of money.
edit: oops, never scored an Irk - the final Fuko was my last grab-bag purchase.
I suspect it will be 100% unwanted items. Whatever you receive, you probably have it already or something better. You’ll be able to find people to gift the stuff to though.

@UncleVinny@barney. So I had to share. Today is the big celebration day. There are cupcakes, special beverages, as you can see from the pics some neighbors did balloons for him and lots of presents along the route.
I taped his present to the top of my can and headed off to work. Just got a message that he took 2 weeks vacation and is not working today. Hope his sub does not take his presents!
And we definitely couldn’t do this without Daily Steals, the company that’s once again handling all the packaging, shipping and order fulfillment. They’re the MVPs of this fundraiser, donating considerable time and resources to the effort.
My one and only experience with Daily Steals was bad enough to turn me completely off ever ordering anything from them again, so that’s going to be a hard pass from me.

It’s just my (strongly held) opinion of course, but the original, iconic rocker chicks would be Debbie Harry and Joan Jett - now 74 & 60 y/o.
I’m sure there are other originals in that generation range that I’m leaving out, but I do believe that the “rocker chick” was invented in the early '70s and perfected in the late '80s.
Of course, I’m going to be 50 day after tomorrow, so sure, I’m biased. Fond memories of hanging out with a lot of chicks (and even dating a couple) who fit my definition - including the Camaro Z28 (one of my best HS buddies’ girl friend drove one and was one of the most genuine, totally metal rocker chicks I’ve known) and especially the Aqua Net.

I was a poseur, and I knew it. It’s not that I was “faking” being a fan, but I was consciously “dressing the part”.
I grew out of it, and thankfully there aren’t any too terribly embarrassing pics of me in my “Deadhead” get-up.

I’m sure there are other originals in that generation range that I’m leaving out, but I do believe that the “rocker chick” was invented in the early '70s and perfected in the late '80s.
Of course, I’m going to be 50 day after tomorrow, so sure, I’m biased. Fond memories of hanging out with a lot of chicks (and even dating a couple) who fit my definition - including the Camaro Z28 (one of my best HS buddies’ girl friend drove one and was one of the most genuine, totally metal rocker chicks I’ve known) and especially the Aqua Net.

I was a poseur, and I knew it. It’s not that I was “faking” being a fan, but I was consciously “dressing the part”.
I grew out of it, and thankfully there aren’t any too terribly embarrassing pics of me in my “Deadhead” get-up.
