If I could trade all the crappy speakers in for one of these I would. I’m sure I paid more than this in total. I’d even throw some headphones in for free.
I’ve made 7 purchases in the last year. 2 during a meh-rathon. That’s honestly more than I expected. Being a VMP is still a loss overall, but I can’t bring myself to stop. Still not gonna by a speaker from you guys. That’s been my rule from day one.
@simplersimon went back and checked, apparently I broke that rule awhile back. Bought an inflatable unicorn speaker as a birthday gift for my sister. So I won’t buy myself a speaker from you guys.
@simplersimon I don’t buy most stuff here for myself either, rather as family gifts for birthday and christmas. Of course if it turns out to be trash I also don’t give it as a gift, however for the most part I have been lucky. Solar flashlights, those break your car window and cut your seatbelt things if you are trapped in your car, clean your phone screen sprays, bought all in the kid generation those half sphere speakers some years back. They were pretty decent. Wished, after the fact, I had one for myself.
The irks, well yes they are gambling and they count for myself however I have given family (or others) many of the things I have gotten. In the irk before last I got a new woven throw that was brown with a bit of red and gray in it. Well someone I know well has those colors in their living room (brown couch, red and white chair). They were delighted to be gifted it. I have won a few times and mostly have lost but then again they come out of my junk food budget for the week so I am trading junk food for hope with an irk. That’s a worthwhile trade in my opinion.
Extremely good well worth $100 , probably worth $200+. It radiates clean sound, great volume control, listen clearly soft or booming. Crisp high notes, base is well balanced. Compared to other high end $300 speakers like the Bose 450 or 500 this is a solid competitor, it just has a slight drop off for mid-tones (but just slightly). A bang for the buck. I am thinking of buying 1 or 2 more.
I have a HomePod. Sounds incredible, smart functions delivered by Siri riding the short bus, but does also act as a hub in my HomeKit enabled life. HomePod FTW because it’s all about how damn good it sounds.
@irishbyblood I have a HomePod also, but ye gods is it frustrating as hell. No way to use an EQ to tweak the sound, and Siri complicates everything. It should be spectacular because of its amazing sound quality, and it’s not.
I can’t buy anything this week because I committed my fun money to a guitar, but I’d totally buy a speaker that didn’t lock me into Siri and had EQ capabilties.
The last two times I bought Bluetooth speakers I regretted it. I do not believe any of these will actually sound good, or I would probably get one.
I have an original Amazon Echo, never use it for music because it makes me sad to hear that done to a song.
Had a HomePod and loved it, but sent it back to Apple because they didn’t bother including bass EQ and I live in a small apartment and don’t hate the neighbors enough.
I bought the headphones and I don’t particularly like them, the sound is nothing special and they hurt my ears. Not willing to take a gamble on the speaker when I was not impressed by the headphones.
Fun idea- everyone who ever bought a speaker dock from Meh gets a discount on these. Who’s in?

That’s one question Meh wishes was never asked.
I feel like they already knew the answer when they asked it.
I don’t want any of these thermos speakers!

Had some insanely high vet bills recently, so I’m not spending on anything non-essential. Otherwise I’d have bought a couple.
