@rlux me too. almost 2 for me. Even at almost 50 years old with a son of my own I was still undeniably a Momma’s Boy until the day she died. I was very fortunate in that I was able to be with her, my dad and sister as she took her last breath.

I took my mom to see Paul McCartney and Cirque Du Soleil’s Love in Las Vegas seven years ago. She says I’ve permanently won Mother’s Day and don’t have to buy her anything ever again. Of course I’ll be taking her to dinner, like I have every year since. I’m not completely stupid.
Our family hasn’t done gifts for any holidays for about a decade. My parents live halfway across the country. I’ll call her and talk for a couple hours like we do every month or so anyway.
Is Pacific Pearls sole business model to drop ship to meh warehouses?

My stepmother and I are not close. I probably should figure out which one is mother’s day and then make some kind of gesture, I guess.

It’s actually pretty unusual for me to have my Mother’s Day gifts already in hand this early. So yes, but no guarantees for next year.
Even freakier, I have Father’s Day covered too — and it’s something I made, so required premeditation well beforehand.
Definitely don’t count on a repeat next year.
