Plus, the times when I say something are the times when I type something incorrectly that slips through. I'm still cringing that I put an apostrophe in fukus in another thread and didn't realize until the edit window closed. I likely wouldn't have said anything here if it hadn't been in the title and I wasn't feeling silly. I knew it was just a typo because @thismyusername spelled it correctly later.

I don't read all the posts, although I do usually read all the comments in a topic that interests me. There are plenty of topics I've never even glanced at. I vote up comments at Woot, still, as well (although damned few, nowadays).

When Woot first started up Deals, and it went public, I was very dismayed to be at the top of all four categories (whatever they were...I think voting up comments, voting up questions, voting up deals, and something else). Yes, there were lots of deals back then that were worth voting up, too.

I don't usually seek out the spotlight. Actually, I'd say that I do my best to avoid it. Please consider turning your attention to someone else, out of kindness.

@Shrdlu I agree Shrdlu should be able to play mostly behind the scenes here w/o being put up for GoaT. I think she came here because of a more active user base than woot, but likes where she is at here. That should be honored.

And actually I agree with you there. That is what I posted in another thread where someone posted we could see that info (otherwise I'd have never known about it). As for your other comment of paying $5 for the privilege it seems no one can opt out, VMP or otherwise. I'd guess many/most people who have VMP bought something and so paid for that rather than shipping, since that costs the same, in case they bought something else in the next 30 days. That's why I have it this month. I don't know, maybe there are a ton of people who want to pay an annual $60 subscription fee to meh even if they don't buy anything. They haven't posted those stats on that LOL. Meh is my source of birthday and christmas presents which is the only reason why I have been able to give the expected presents and have them be nicer than dollar store presents.

@Shrdlu By the way, you DO realize, do you not (and I presumed you did since you have read at least, as of right now, the 11669 comments you starred and some more that you did not) that being nominated is an honor, sure perhaps in a twisted sort of way, but an honor none the less (and one you can decline, as others have done, including myself ages ago, without slamming someone). @narfcake Actually I was surprised as I didn't think I had done anything even close to "good" enough to even be nominated. However I declined then because I had too much going on in my life with cancer, a troubled kid, financial issues, was incredibly stressed out... wasn't even sure I'd have internet outside of the library. A goat needs to be someone who is online here daily or close to it. I wasn't sure I'd be able to be online much at all at that time. Not sure if I explained it in that detail back then or not - way too long ago to remember - but that was behind it. I also didn't attack anyone either when I declined. I have no problem with people declining. I do have a problem with people attacking and name calling like what went on here. That level of meanness is uncalled for. You just say, thanks but no thanks. She could have stopped after her first sentence when she said she "wouldn't play along". People would have honored that and it would have been the end of it. It is no big deal if people decline. I think most everyone (well those who enjoy the goat antics anyway) would rather they decline than end up goat and not participate.
