@ragingredd Well you could do drugs, party and plot to take over the world, it’s just that DHS takes a dim view of such activities… Unfortunately they also take a dim view of chaining a teen to their bed at night to keep them from going out the window as the alternative (having them sleep in a mattress on the floor in your bedroom which is where my teen found her sorry ass parked on occasion) is a PITA. But at least teens generally sleep in.
@Kidsandliz i have a couple years till hes a teen so im ok for now lol i would love to see him try climb out a secound story widow of a 1800’s farm house long drop!

I read BOOKS! Long, complicated books that you wouldn’t even understand! Full of immortal thoughts and ideas written with words that have a lot of gratuitous syllables!
Actually, right now I’m watching Season 1, Day 1 of Code S StarCraft 2, live from Korea, on Twitch. I just know I oughta be reading a book.
@UncleVinny i like reading autobiographies. Read maybe 10 so far. Thought id try my hand at Winston Churchhill’s Memoirs of the 2nd World War. Apparently i cant read 1930s well educated British English based on my American bad memory of the 1 year of “World History” i took in HS 30 yrs ago. I read 3 pages in Oct when i got it, realized i have to go back and start over slower. Havent picked it up since.
I only starred this thread because I’m hoping to read some safe recreational drug stories.
Also, drug users - are you limiting your use to just the weekend? If so, how do you get through the week? Also, I wonder if the board members who are very active during the week but not as active over the weekend are drug users?
I chose sleep. I should get some.
@elimanningface I’m an occasional puff-a-little-pot kind of fella, which is followed by lying peacefully on the couch. Not super racy, sorry! As for midweek puffing, I find that I feel 20% dumber (from a disappointing baseline) the day after my puffery, and I can’t risk going to work any more clot-headed than I already am.
@elimanningface Seriously? Why waste your time doing that? Life is much more fun/better when your brain functions properly. I’d bet those not as active on the weekend aren’t stoned or high, rather they have a life and are either out doing things they enjoy with/without kids/family or torturing themselves doing a week’s worth of laundry, errands and cleaning. If they have kids they may well be stuck going to sports games and tournaments. There were a number of years my weekends were mostly trashed by traveling soccer and basketball, fortunately only rec dept softball so no travel there. I hated that, kid loved it so we did it.
@Kidsandliz you make excellent points. You mentioned brain function, the judgment portion of mine seems to dip off considerably after 9pm most nights. I regret my initial post now, haha.
@Kidsandliz I’m a control freak from a family of alcoholics so drinking and recreational drugs have never held any sort of appeal for me. My escapes are books, movies, games, art and travel. Creating art practically is a drug. You can lose time, become completely disconnected from your surroundings, and can achieve absurd highs and lows depending on how the creation process is going.
Imodium (Loperamide) is an opioid-receptor agonist and acts on the μ-opioid receptors in the myenteric plexus of the large intestine. Loperamide works like morphine, you might read somewhere.
Well, that’s true, taking fairly high doses does produce a mild pain-relieving but not “Oh gawd I’m fucked up” effect. There’s anecdotal stories to support the use of people home-detoxing off say, Suboxone, which is used in turn to detox off of heroin.
But, there is the end. And I do meant specifically your end, and whether or not you want to take a nice shit. Sure, at first, eat some fiber, live it up and enjoy fairly “normal” BMs for a period of time. But the day will come (and it is guaranteed to come) when you will be backed up to the point of painful cramps and you’ll wish for somebody to come along and shoot you. By then driving a car is damn near impossible to even go get some emergency bottles of magnesium citrate to try to flush yourself out.
@therealjrn woah, I didn’t know people used imodium for analgesic purposes. I knew about the other stuff but not the pain reducing. I am happy you are doing better man. Less red meat next time .
Not just no, but hell no. Back in Las Vegas where I grew up, potheads killed a neighbor’s dog (drove up on his front lawn, nearly hit the owner too), wrecked fences, injured a high school acquaintance (pothead’s fault car accident), pilfered and burglarized homes in our neighborhood…
@duodec I knew crack was a hell of a drug but I didn’t know weed was as well. Nah, seriously man, sorry to read about that. Drug use isn’t a matter to be treated lightly, I regret doing such today.
I never had a prob with it. But then I always only used it for the intended/recommended very short term purpose.
And even when extra-young and extra-stupid, I usually avoided opioids anyway.
@f00l So far, so good. In hindsight mehbe a trip to the ER might have been prudent. No insurance though. But all’s well (that ends well). Observing those cramps was horrifying.
Go to the beach!. But I never do; I always end up doing house/garden stuff although my shit still looks the same afterwards I need a better housekeeper
Where’s the “Waste all my free time off and then complain when I didn’t actually do anything constructive” option?
@spitfire6006006 something I do very often!
@spitfire6006006 This is similar to “constantly think about how close Monday morning is”
Nothing. I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.
@ThatsHeadly that’s exactly what I say on long weekends or vacations.
Can’t sleep have a kid, can’t can’t party do drugs, take over the world I’m stay at home mom so I try to get away from the kids lol
First, play video games, then try a new restaurant, then sleep.

Ever tried Imodium? TL;DR DON’T.

So, no.
@elimanningface Heh, it wasn’t me. But I was there–it wasn’t pretty. Let me just say I’m damn glad I have a bidet.
@moondrake
@duodec I knew crack was a hell of a drug but I didn’t know weed was as well. Nah, seriously man, sorry to read about that. Drug use isn’t a matter to be treated lightly, I regret doing such today.

@therealjrn
That’s a hell of an Imodium story. Had no idea.
I never had a prob with it. But then I always only used it for the intended/recommended very short term purpose.

Hope the user managed to get off it ok.

@therealjrn
Understand about makeshift remedies when there is no insurance.
I just realized that bonin’ isn’t on the list. How come it took us all so long to complain? Isn’t that something people still do on weekends?
@UncleVinny Those people are young and have better things to do with their time than hanging out on this forum with us.
@UncleVinny came here to say that’s my every-weekend plan…
That never happens. Womp womp
@SSteve touché
Grillin’ & Chillin’
All of the above. I’m hyper active. Play hard - work hard. !!
@meh427 That doesn’t sound very “meh.” Are you sure you’re in the right place?
@TheFLP oh crap - Sor - um, weekends? I uh, put batteries in the freezer !!
Go to the beach!. But I never do; I always end up doing house/garden stuff although my shit still looks the same afterwards I need a better housekeeper
@llangley oh yeah
And some A-hole on here suggested Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. What a timesuck!! Lol. But I’m already on level 40. So there’s that…
@llangley Well if you’d pay the help maybe they’d not all quit so you have to do it…
This weekend I’m binge-watching “The Grand Tour” Seasons 1 & 2 available for “free” on AMZN Prime Video.

would you like to play a game? (no, not a video game)
