My stepson has been using a sous vide for about 3-4 years and he loves cooking that way. (truth be told, he actually had to tell me what it was ) He says he’s made some of the tastiest food ever. Steak is one of his favorites, really tender and juicy is what he was telling me. Of course that’s after browning it up or searing it. What do you like to cook that way, what are your favorites?
@Lynnerizer My favorite thing to sous vide is salmon! I hit it with some evo andTajin and it is so good! It’s the dictionary definition of melt in your mouth.

Lol He WAS living right next door and fed us all the time! Since he bought his 1st house, right before Covid, we’re back to feeding ourselves again!
He’s only a mile away but it’s definitely not the same. Now that I think about it the steak would have just enough resting time.
I’m not cooking much at all these days but when I get back home to my own kitchen I definitely will!
My guys been doing a lot of slow cooking lately, barbeque ribs are our favorite. Last night he got the charcoal grill out and did some barbeque chicken that was out of this world!
OH YUM!!
Any of those, as needed. Would you grill a cake? Microwave a rack of baby back ribs? Fry eggs in the shell as the first step in Scotch eggs? Bake them as the final step? No, of course not. The technique is chosen according to what you are making.
Sous vide, then maybe fry.

@Ark_kun sous vide is the way to go. Drop it in, turn it on, and walk away.
@Ark_kun @Lynnerizer He just “tells” you how tender the steak is, he doesn’t invite you over for it?

@Ark_kun Love Sous Vide – It’s the only thing I’ve never burned

Have someone else do it. (And the cleanup)
Slow cooking or braising. Anything that really inspires drooling all day, tbh

Anything I do in a crock pot, dutch oven, or pressure cooker gives me the most satisfaction to effort ratio.

With my “Mommy” or “Mama” (grandmother). Those were The Days.
I my Air Fryer. I do not cleaning it.
When someone someone else does all the cleanup.
Yes, tho not so much grilling and baking.
Giant magnifying glass.
Throw it all in a Crock Pot and forget about it for 8 hours
Smoking! (The meat, not me.)
All of the above. It just depends on what I want to eat.
