When I think of Nowitzki, I think of Dallas Mavericks. When I think of James, I think of Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, in that order. I bet even lots of the Cleveland fans wouldn’t think of James as their favorite Cavalier, as of 2010.
@Trillian Back in 1980, Effingham played close enough (Marion? Carbondale? I don’t remember) that a group of my HS friends and I made the trip (90 minutes or so) to see Blab play. Someone that tall (7’2") is probably much more common these days, but for us, he almost didn’t seem human, towering over every else so prominently. If I recall correctly, Blab was not even the best player on that team.
James Garner
@Kyeh If you want that car, you’ll have to Grabber quickly.
@ThunderChicken
Okay, I had to look that up ! Touché.
@Kyeh I dated myself, didn’t I?
Who cares?
@tweezak Amen!!!
Tom Cruise
Bret Maverick, of course…
I voted for that funny actor from Trainwreck. I don’t recognise the other actors.

Lebowski
Jason Kidd. Steve Nash. I guess I just like point guards who played for the Mavs and the Suns
Rayshard Brooks
Speaking of Lebron James, I just found this yesterday and it’s the greatest thing.
Shawn Marion was both a Cav and a Mav, although he is most strongly identified as a Sun, as is my favorite Mav: Steve Nash.
To no one’s surprise, no one has said Tom Cruise.
@ThunderChicken Actually the very first comment by @ebatch was a vote for Tom Cruise
@ebatch @Kyeh So it was. My bad. I was set to filter out all but the 10 most recent comments.
Uwe Blab, formerly of the Dallas Mavericks and the Effingham Flaming Hearts.
