@Grimsby
FWIW: Plantar Fasciitis
and yes… it SUX!
Spent an afternoon years ago at a (younger) friend’s 40th birthday party/field event. We played football, tossed around Frisbees, and generally ran around like a bunch of kids. I woke up the next day and could hardly put my feet on the ground when I went to get out of bed! Ended up using orthodic shoe inserts to get any relief. Took me weeks to get better.
That’s when I learned that getting older is not for the weak…
Twice! The first time because I bet my wife I could do it in an hour (having never trained for it or anything) and I was just over (like 1:00:50). Second time was 58:03. Running is awful
I spent a summer working up to it, and eventually got there. I also gave myself planar fascitis (sp?) which super sucked. I stick to 5k now.

I think about it all the time. Probably why I’m so mentally tired
I only run when chased.
@Fuzzalini
yep, same here… I find most folks give up chasing me after the first hundred meters…
Never, EVER piss off a Drill Sgt.!!!
Yep! Ran a few, but my favorite was the Midnight Sun Run in Fairbanks, AK - starts at 11p on the Saturday before the solstice.
I’ve even ran a couple of 100ks
