From what I understand, these (42" W x 76" L) are not “proper” twin-sized (38" W x 75" L), they are 4" too wide and an inch too long. And putting two of them together will make some sort of mutant “king” that will be 8" too wide and 4" too short.
So I guess if you’re not using fitted sheets it’ll be fine, but just thought it worth mentioning. This from a couple annoying sheet experiences with so-called twin/full/queen inflatables.
@Kyeh don’t tell anyone but we just rotate it so it’s extra wide and a bit shorter, I’m tall but who sleeps like an arrow anyways. Doing my part to invert California in every way I can. Ideal would be separate beds for sleep quality but wife wouldn’t have it.
@IAMIS I’ve yet to find an air mattress that will remain inflated with me on it, and I’m not that heavy. Essentially all of them are built using construction methods that are designed to pull the seams apart, so that’s what happens. OTGH, I know someone who has been using the same air mattress when camping for almost a decade. She sewed a denim zipcover for it that ensures no seam ever gets fully stretched; the dimensions of the cover are about an inch short of the nominal dimensions of the air mattress bladder. I have enough denim in the fabric pile to create such a cover, and I might decide to put it to use at some point. (I also have an old light industrial Singer straight-stitch machine that will cheerfully sew a double-lapped seam in heavy denim. That ought to hold.)
@IAMIS I honestly don’t get the prevalence of this complaint/observation…do I just have good luck with air mattresses/know how to use them properly?? I’ve never had one fail on me in a weird or unexpected way. Provided your floor or space is clean and free of sharp objects and you let the airbed expand for several hours prior to first use, you should be fine. (Manufacturing defects do happen like with everything else, but also like everything else, they’re rare.)
@PooltoyWolf You might be lucky. It looks like about one in 10 have bad luck pretty quickly, and I expect more do further down the road. But I personally don’t have experience with “high end” inflatable furniture.
Mine arrived today and seems very well-made. The pump works as intended and the bed is comfy for an air mattress! It should do well for the hotel at the end of the month.
@Kyeh@OnionSoup That one might actually be a real product. All the ones I seem to come across are AI images and the product for sale is actually a sort of puzzle using the image, not an actual bed.
@OnionSoup@PooltoyWolf Yeah, the Totoro one is a real product, although who knows if it’s as soft and cushy as it looks in the picture.
(A couple of reviews say it’s not.)
For $30 bringing this to a festival for to possibly pop or not work is fine by me. Also a second mattress just for sleepovers for the teen kiddo isn’t a bad thing.

@katbyter That is some fantastic makeup for a 1939 film. And boy, do I love being able to right-click and search by image. We take that kind of power for granted after a while, but it really is amazing.

Air mattresses - when you want to sleep on the floor, but not right away.
@Pufferfishy
FIFY
Talk about good timing! I’ve got a furry convention coming up, and the 5th person in my hotel room is gonna need a bed (only 2 queen beds).

Trying to decide if you should buy this?.. Why not sleep on it?
Love the brand name.
Great backup for when you are kicked out of the house. And at a great price.
@phendrick and buying an unwanted air mattress is probably a good way to get kicked out…
@phendrick Great idea, just wish it came with a dog house since the orange tent the other night ain’t gonna be a cover for this bed.
Funny how the “Bed Bridge Twin to King Converter Kit” linked in the short description is just as much as the air mattress itself.
@haydesigner Yeah, it’s pretty pricey in comparison. You can buy just the strap here, though
@troy
or not
@rjquillin oops! https://www.amazon.com/FeelAtHome-Strap-Twin-Beds-Converting/dp/B01N4KK0NI
Good item to use some of those birthday coupons on, just sayin’
Perhaps I missed the collapsed size of this…
@rjquillin According to Amazon:
Item Package Dimensions L x W x H 16.14 x 13.86 x 6.65 inches

@stolicat are they twin XL?
@mbersiam @stolicat Apparently not - xl are just longer:
Huh - interesting that Cal King are longer, but narrower, than regular King. I guess they’re assuming people in CA are tall and skinny.
@qazxto Oh, okay - your secret is safe with me!
Good, twice the height, double the fall.
@dgfait Gold star for you!
Nobody is mentioning leaks. What are the odds that if I fill it up I’ll be sleeping on the hard floor by morning?
@IAMIS I really want to pull the trigger and buy, but over 1K 1 star reviews on Amazon is scaring me away.

@IAMIS @werehatrack I really don’t know where you heard that idea about seam construction because it doesnt ‘seem’ right. (See what I did there?)

@PooltoyWolf now if only someone sold large air mattresses like this shaped like animals…
.although I imagine it would be hard to find sheets to fit
@OnionSoup @PooltoyWolf Not an air mattress, but there’s this:
@OnionSoup Does Mactoy count? Haha
@Kyeh @OnionSoup That one might actually be a real product. All the ones I seem to come across are AI images and the product for sale is actually a sort of puzzle using the image, not an actual bed.

This reminded me of the time a man suffocated inside his own inflatable “toy,” a tragic death to be sure.
@AaronLeeJohnson If that’s the one I’m thinking of, it was a total fabrication, a la The Onion.
Just wondering why anyone at Amazon would pay $90, when you can find just as nice of a Queen size inflatable bed for $55?
What sheets are fitting on this twin? It is too tall even for deep-pocket twin sheets.
@cavalleygirl these or these should work!
@cavalleygirl @troy Nope; 39"x75"!
Tall enough but not wide or long enough!
