@Ignorant I usually roll my eyes at the “my obvious answer is missing” crowd (where’s “I don’t like any music” or “I have never been out of the house”), but it really seems like there should have been an answer in this poll to represent a “some of them” situation.

Pulled. They gave them to me after the procedure. They were so clean, white, and uncavitied and filled with lead I wondered why they didn’t just leave them in and yank my shitty, cavity-ridden molars.
Had them pulled in a Navy boot camp assembly line. Downside: it hurt like hell 'cause they didn’t wait for the Novocaine to fully take effect. Upside: I got a day of bed rest in boot camp.

He’s a great guy and has been very good at keeping the pain to a minimum when doing fillings and even cleanings.
Would be a weird coincidence if he were one of your navy dentists (even weirder if he was both).

I was hospitalized for three days to have all 4 of my impact wisdom teeth removed. Yup, hospitalized! General anesthesia and all those good pain meds, just what any 16 year old needs when they’re on their way to becoming a future “doctor induced” opioid addict!
Upper right and lower left one week. The other two the next week. Never understood why he did it that way, but I had 2 pm appointments and was eating pizza 3 hours later.

Only the uppers came in. They came in pointing towards my cheeks. When one cracked, I had it pulled. Had the other one pulled a while later. They came out easily unlike my brother who had all four, and they were bony impacted. I got lucky.
I had all four of mine cut out when I was about 25. They were all impacted and causing pain. My upper two wisdom teeth were turned so they were pointing forward. One had the root wrapped around a nerve. That one had to be cut out in like six or seven pieces. Fortunately the oral surgeon was awesome and I had no nerve damage. I also had a pretty swift and uneventful recovery. It wasn’t fun, but it wasn’t the horror story a lot of other people talk about.

I brought Pink Floyd’s Atom Heart Mother and they gave me a shot of IV valium to put me out. Pretty fantastic combination. lol
My mother was my ride, and when she came in to see me after the procedure, she said I had a big, bloody grin on my face.
A tip for anyone who is scheduled to have theirs removed: No matter how good you feel afterwards, don’t skip the pain med prescription…
On the way home, I told my mother I didn’t need the pain meds and we drove right past the pharmacy.
About an hour later, I felt like my head was being squeezed in a vice, about to explode, and begged my mother to please hurry up and go get me the drugs!
I do still have them somewhere (the teeth, not the drugs, unfortunately).

I worked with a guy who had his lateral incisors removed instead, so his canines were next to his central incisors. That was a weird smile.

Had one pulled, then another, then the last 2. Took 6 weeks total. By the time it was done I had taken so much penicillin I developed an allergy.
Mine grew in. No fuss, no muss, no surgery. I don’t get all you with your mouths too small.
I had mine for a long time before they started to act up. I still have one left. In other words, I have more wisdom teeth than wisdom.
They’ve been saying I need them removed for years but no cavities and still good bone health. I think it’s a scam.

I have two of them. All four grew in fine, but two were prone to cavities, so they had to go.
They were impacted. At 20, an Army dentist pulled them so to avoid needing emergency work if I was in combat. (Never saw combat)
